You could probably put up the HPS now. As long as you don't have it too close to the seedling. How many watts is your HPS? As for nutes, wait a couple weeks. Start at 1/4 strength and see how she responds.

I waited a couple weeks before i set up my HPS but i started with my nutes 1 week after i planted them.

Everyone is different and im still learning haha but i water them every other day and give them nutes once or twice a week

Hopes that gives you an idea

i like to keep my mh on for all of veg and about 2 weeks into flower and then change to hps to reduce strech.

If it were, me. I'd wait a week then put it up. Try not to stretch that seedling though before or after you put it up. Your measurements sound just like the size of my grow box.

When the light is too far away, your plant will grow a lot in height. Usually appearing skinny with nodes that are spaced far apart.

If you have just that one plant, I would a couple of weeks before moving it to HPS. Your plant will veg better under cool white cfl's than it will under HPS, and the cost of running a few cfl's is much less than running hps. HPS doesn't have much of a blue spectrum, so your plant will stretch with HPS regardless of how close it is to the plants.
