hey i have 3 plants growing under cfls and they seemed to slowed down growing. they are all producing new nodes and leaves but they are not really getting much bigger i planted them christmas day and the biggest plant is over 8 inches i can post pics of it but it has nice new shoots coming out lower is it just a short plant or what am i doing wrong please help

i was worried i was doing 24 hr light and then read that a dark period is good so i switch to 20/4 and now i am nervous i stressed them and one plant got to like 4 inches high and over thelast 2 weeks only grew about an inch or 2 but has just as many leaes as the one thats a foot across but only 8 inches tall just nervous first time growing anything at all never mind something as important as this lol i can post pics if you want to see them

show me them pics boy! oh and if its NOT an autoflowering strain, your better off going 18/6. its when its dark they squeeze out all the light they absorbed during the day ^^

yeah they look kinda small. not that small but... what kind of lights you using?
if i was you i'd veg em a week more or so, then switch to 12/12. after 2 weeks of 12/12 you be crying for space haha they grow like hell

if you top them they will become even more bushier and shorter. whats those lights in actual watts? if you plan to take clones i suggest you wait until they bigger
one is a 65 watt and the other is a 50 actual consumed wattage they are the biggest 2 cfls i could find i am trying not to get the power bill to go through the room whole point of growing these guys is to save us from spending 70 bucks for a quarter lol prices where we are at is retarded. is that enough light to make them grow or should i keep adding lights to this?

you should definitely get some more lights...look in the lighting section of the hardware store or grow stores have specially made grow cfls
i live in a very rural area no grow stores within an hour of here and i think they might be seasonal i will check the hardware store though soon thanks i have miracle grow the one with like 24-10-15 or somehting like that i know that its 24 for nitrogen for indoors it says one every 7-14 days to add 2.5 ml of mg to 2 litres of water but that seems like an awful little amount of it should i up it any or stick to the box directions? seems like they really perk up when i do water them with mg in it just scared to burn them is all

or, if you are running a small grow, u can just go with the HPS, and turn up the heat when you flip to 12/12..
i am trying to keep it small for now just trying to not rely on a dealer for my herbs and this is a beginner grow just got some pot that had seeds in it and my dealer gave me about 2 dozen seeds so just trying to get a decent little supply going before i try to buy good seeds and build it up from there maybe when i get to the summer and a more steady job i will look into gettin hps setup but for now i am going to stick with cfls and get some more lamps going soon
only okayish? they are short bushy plants i can post all my pics on here if you want i am hoping that i will get a couple of oz out of the three plants and get me some clones going for a sog setup next so i plan on just keep building it up slowly to get better pot easier i am tired of my dealers getting busted or getting expensive they are cracking down on dealers here alot 3 in a row this year alone getting caught dont like the heat so want to just keep myeslf in the green so any suggestions to just help me along are great and will be probably used i am already positioning the lights better and just need a little nute help next and i will be along great
what i am wondering is should i put mg in everytime i water its the one with an n-24 so i know its better for vegging but will that burn it? like i use about 3 litres of water every 4 days and every second one i put just the little end measuring spoon in like the directions say. just keep doing that or can i build it up and increase as the plants get bigger? and when i switch to a high p one in 2 weeks when i start my 12/12 if i do increase do i use that much of that fert or do i need to build it up again from scratch?
