yup i leave it outside during the day (morn-early evening), and i bring it back inside when it gets dark. im kinda paranoid leaving my plant out at night. i dont want any nocturnal creatures sabotaging it. plus i give my plant extra hours of light after a full day of basking in the sun. but yeah, i began keeping it outside for more light and more space to grow because it outgrew my temporary veg chamber very fast.

What is top? I let the plant grow out on it's own though. I'm using fox farm grow big liquid plant food.

Are you going to flower that thing outside? Because even if you started flowering right now it would still double to triple in size. So you would have a 40" to 60" plant. 
If you are planning on flowering that indoors I would do it now...

You cut the main top grow tip and 2 will grow giving you 2 main colas instead of one. ITS PROBABLY A LITTLE TO LATE TO TOP YOURS THOUGH. YOU USUALLY WANNA TOP IN THE 4-5TH NODE.

You can top a plant WHENEVER you want, as long as it isnt flowering it makes absolutely no difference.

your right but that plant is pretty big already, hes prob. gonna flower soon. I just think its best to top earlier so you have more colas during flower.

Whenever I top or FIM I usually do it a week maybe two before flowering...never had a problem.
It isnt best to top earlier....you will still have the same amount of colas whether you TOP sooner or later it makes NO difference.

Well I scrog, so I need to top early so I can weave Them. So if you top right b4 flower, you still get big colas?

Yeah.....plants pretty much double in size once flowering is initiated....so lets say you have a 20 inch plant....you top it and its now 18 inches....it will be 36 inches once its finished....That means your getting some big colas

Well that's good to know..All the advice people gave me is to top early. I wish I could grow one without the screen but I'm limited to height. What if I topped the shit out of a plant , will it still produce big buds or just a bunch of little buds?
