Wow the law fucked me

Alright so a bud gives me a jar to hold because he was going to be searches that day at school, he gave me around 2 gs and this little brown pill he says is a thc pill. So I go skip out on a few periods to smoke some nug, anyways. School security gets a heads ip and comes get us. Now the cop said I would get off with a 100$ citation if it wasn't for the pill, it was a clear pill Whth brownish liquid inside. He said that I might get off with a felony or a misdemeanor??? He said that "concentrated cannabis" (hash) would be a felony or something. But I've done a little bit of research and it turns out that pot or thc pills are FDA approved and 100% legal. How can I be charged or even citationed for a legal substance?? I do not have my medi card. I was caught in southern Cali so please if anybody knows anything please

Prescription medicine is ONLY legal for the person that was given the prescription.

well assuming since your still in school you're not even 18 and not supposed to be on this site. the other thing is, is that since you were at school the laws are stiffened by exposing kids to drugs... just like here in florida if your caught within 1500 ft of the school its automatically bumped up to a felony. even just for pot

No, we live in a society with laws. We all know that if you break those laws and are caught doing so and are found to be guilty you will face the consequences. you took a calculated risk when you decided to hold that stuff for your friend and then when you decided to skip a few hours of school. the way you say the cops found you makes me think....if you just cut your college classes their would be no reason for them to look for you much less search you..... however if your in highschool still their actions make sense. How old are you?

The same way Oxycontin pills are 100% legal. Just because someone is legally allowed to have it with proper documentation does not mean no one can be charged with possession of it for having it in school.

You are getting in trouble because you didn't have a prescription for that pill. I have heard of a THC pill called Marinol before. It looked very similar to what you were describing. Man you should never take anything to school for this very reason. Get a good lawyer asap. If you haven't been in trouble before and are a minor, you should be able to get out of this without getting in to much trouble. You might be able to get some kind of deal where you do community service and do some drug classes or something and upon completion of their program your charged will be expunged. I've heard of shit happening like that all of the time here in Kentucky.
