Stonies Bakery Review

whats going on fellow az patient, caregivers, and criminals. i am creating this thread because i have not been able to find any info on some edibles which i got a hold of through one of the local friends of the community. here is a little write up of mine and my patients experience with this product. and to say the least, we were far from satisfied with this garbage.

the edibles come in a pink bag( i guess for valetines day) these are very unproffessional looking and not hermetically sealed or anything. on the front of the bag is a sticker that states
"For Medical use only by qualifying patients only within the state of AZ" also says they are incomplioance with health and safety code and prop 204 and sb 420. and then a warning against using heavy machinery or driving after ingestion. then it says:
"Made with: 1.0 gram: cannabutter- lemon og- blue dream"
now the two edibles which we had were a chocalte in the shape of a flower and a peanut butter chocolate square. both edibles tasted ok, they were very sweet and tasted strongly of weed there also seemed to be some scoobie snacks left in the mix because i could feel the grit in my teeth when eating them. to put it simply these edibles suck in both potency and tatste.
I DO NOT RECMOEND THESE SHITTY EDIBLE FOR ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!
the first one i ate last night an hour after dinner and i did not feel a fucking thing. now i figured my stomach was full and i slept through it. so today i ate the other one on an empty stomach for breakfast. this time i felt a mild buzz but nothing more. i know it is not me because last week my boy got some bomb cookies from a friend and i ate one cookie on a full stomach and could feel it for 2 hours after.
my experience with making and eating edibles is quite extensive and everyone who eats my brownies comes back the next day asking for more so i know what a good edible should be. i have made with shwagg, trim, and top shelf nugs and the edibles always were effective and potent. i have used all kinds of fats to cook with and have noted the subtlties in the effects given from different methods.
i can say for certain that these edibles from "Stonies Bakery" are a fucking rip off and garbage. if the people making this crap reads this please put more weed in your edibles and learn how to properly make cannabutter including straining out the plant material. for anyone looking for a good edible look else where.

Thanks for the good info... STonies Bakery will be on my " do not go to list"
it is not my intention to stifle anyone business. hopefully they will read this and step up their game. also there are so many uneducated patients who are trying edibles for the first time and have no frame of reference.

i have eaten one of those cake lollipop things and was not that impressed. it tasted good but did not do much. if i want good food ill go to a nice restaurant. when i eat an edible i want to be high as balls and whatever the form is (brownie, cookie, lollipop, etc.) is not as important as the effect and strength of the experience. the bomb tasting food is only enjoyed while you eat it, a bomb edibles is enjoyed for hours.

i like my edibles strong but tasty. i don't think you had one of mine.. where did you get your cake pop from ?
acc. thats where my girl goes sometimes.
when i make edibles i use two ounces per pound of butter. anything less is not strong enough for me or my patients.

I have chef on board with me. His stuff is super strong. Instead of using bud to make his butter, he uses hash and dry sief. His cake pops, brownies, cookies, peanut butter cups, etc... Are off the chain. They get my patients and i super high. Fairly good price too if y buy a good amount.

I heard using hash and keif is way more efficient than using bud.

I can't say more "efficient". I mean he uses around an ounce or two per pound of butter which means he is using like a qp-HP of bud per pound of butter. Kind of a lot compared to what others do. But I can tell you they are STRONG!

you can dry ice sift your material and then just add that to the butter. this works great because if you sift with good bags and not too long you dont have to strain your butter which makes it easier and faster to produce an effective product.

i like to do the more labor intensive and longer process in order to extract the most from my material. here is what i do:

you will need:
Butter (unsalted, higher the fat content the better)
high quality trim or popcorn buds (as i stated earlier i use a ration of 2 ounces material/ 1 pound of butter)
crockpot or slow cooker
water
cheese cloth ( a ricer will also work but it can be harder to find)
a strainer
big pot or bowl
rubber heat resistant gloves
recipe:

1. start by breaking down your material, i like to use my finger with neoprene gloves on ( the purple ones for trimming). this lets me collect any resin i get on my fingers.
2. put your butter into the slow cooker on high until it melts. you can remove the milk solids or clarify the butter if you would like but this is not mandatory.
3.dump your material into the melted butter and stir. try and mix it as best you could. you will notice you probably have more material than butter and it will become kind of like a paste. do not stir for too long. 5 minutes is fine.
4. fill the pot with water almost to the top.
5. set the crockpot on low and cook for 8-12 hours covered stirring occasionally.
6. remove pot from cooker and strain the mixture through cheese cloth or a ricer into a large pot or bowl. (this is where the gloves come in handy) squeeze as much liquid as possible from the cheese cloth or ricer. tha liquid is your butter and the more butter the better :)
7. place the strained butter/water mixture in the fridge to cool over night.
8. reclaim the butter. as the mixture cools, the butter will float to the top and solidify. once it solidifies you can cut into fourths and remove from the water. on the bottom of the butter there will be a layer of gunk. scrape this off as it is not nice to eat trust me (or dont and eat it). i remove the butter into four pieces and dry them on a paper towel.

and thats it thats how i make my butter and how many others have done it in the past. there are many variations on the kind of fats used or the time you want to cook, but a few things should not be changed:

DO NOT:
1. cook at too high of a heat. what you are doing is speeding up the mixing of two lipids as well as decarboxilating your thc. thc vaporizes at about 320F and other cannibinoids are known to start vaporizing at about 260-280F. if you cook at these temps, you are releasing the fun stuff into the air instead of trapping it in the butter.
2. use margarine with this recipe. margarine contains emulsifiers and when mixed with water it will dissolve somewhat. also if you are using this recipe only use fats which will solidify at or just below room temperature. another alternative is coconut oil, make sure it is the unsulphered variety.

as far as dosing goes. i will get about four batches of brownies out of a pound and 12 brownies per batch. i like to eat a half a brownie for breakfast and will be good for 4 hours. a whole one on an empty stomach means you wont be doing anything for a while.
another thing about edibles, start out slow and take your time. i have seen many seasoned smoker passed out on the couch from eating too much edibles. for those who may have never eaten and edible, try half of what is recommended or what you think. when you eat cannabis, it is harder to self titrate or regulate the amount you are ingesting vs smoking where the effects are immediate and therefore can be monitored and self regulated.

you can do it with just a pot on a stove too...
Yes this is true. I have done this too. Just be sure to keep the temp down. If you are adding water then the water Will help as a buffer. For smaller batches i use high quality bud and a double boiler and i don mix in water. This can be convenient if you only want to make one batch or just try a bit of butter. Just remember to keep the temp down.
