Wow!! You're an inspiration to a newb like me!

But you're putting in that much Fox Farm? Is the native soil bad or are you just trying to give them the best? I live in the deep south where the native soil is descent, and already have a plot cleared, and like you, and am planning to put down 20-30 clones of Strawberry Haze and Sour Candy (sour diesel x bubblegum).

Do you think I'm wrong by planning to only add some cow manure, lime and Espoma bulb tone 3-5-3. We get good rain and the place is a good way, so I won't be visiting much at all till harvest.

*Sorry for hijacking, but I wanna learn from you guys.

First time growing? You said nothing was going to get in your way of your dream. If your growing with another friend who loves bud as much as you do, Come fall when you end up having more plants then he does, He might think he deserves more plants, and him knowing the location, plants sitting there defenseless all fall might get taken. I'm not calling your grow partner a thief by any means, But I see it happen year after year, People get their plants stolen, and A LOT of of the time because its new growers who get to excited and tell and show their friends. Its like, Imagine if your friend knew where there was these plants with twenty dollar bills all over them, Why bring you and split it when it could have it all and know he could get away with it. Ive grown with a lot of people over the years, and trust is a very big issue when it comes to marijuana plants. Its better to trust no one with your plants, you already hauled all that soil in there, why do you need extra help now.
Nature guy, Cow manure can work excellent if its well composted. Its its still in shit form, its not a good idea, it will burn the plants, It should look more like dark rich soil, being 1-2 years old. Cow manure has lots of nutrients to sustain a marijuana plant.:blsmoke:

Just got back from dumping a bunch of mushroom compost and peat on one of my sites. Guys are out riding their Harley's in mid-January...WTF!.

And the snow arrives tonight, so those amendments will be buried, frozen, and thawed repeatedly. Then I'll go back and do the same when the ground fully thaws. Then I wait until late May to plant 12" ht. transplants. A lot of outdoor growers think they need 6 months of veg to get monster plants. I have found this to not be the case. When I plant in FULL sun, I average 8-10" of height increase weekly so long as water is abundant.

Good luck with your grow, BTW you can save a lot of $$ by skipping the FF and simply amending existing soil.

That's gotta be the hardest part for me! Thats why I gotta sign up on message boards like these lol. Here I can talk about my passion openly. It's a really fun hobby, and it saves me money(not buying weed anymore is great.) I can't tell you how much I wanted to spill the beans my first time though!
