2 days ago, ROCK hard nugs. today fluffy?

Hopefully somebody can help me understand this. Critical+, 1000hps. 5 gallon soil. ffof w/fox line nutes. Day 60 ROCK hard nugs. Day 62, chopped. buds were not watered for 3 days. Chopped today and buds were really airy/fluffy? I did find a few naners and looked open. I even found 2 ripe seeds at nodes? Any thoughts?

This plant was giant with tons of colas and were rock hard. They finished good and will still be great. Starting getting purple hues and just sexy plant.

let me get this right, the buds were nice and hard when growing, but now that they've been drying out a few days, they are now more airy, correct??
if so, this happens to me all of the time, well, not all of the time, but my buds definitely seem to be fuller when they're growing and they get airier when they dry out.. i just assumed that this was a natural process of them drying and losing water content, which is what i would think makes buds more rigid..
not sure if you are just saying that the buds seem to be a lil more airy than normal drying buds do, lol, if so, than i'm not so sure.. , but maybe someone else can chime in...

Its not a good idea to harvest a dry plant. Rather water the day before harvest as the buds need moisture to carry out the fermentation process. Either way though the days following harvest your buds will take on a fluffy feel. As the continue to dry and cure they should firm back up a bit. The more prime(calyxes full of resin were a seed should be vs. just water content)a plant is the firmer the final product...

i've never heard this before cowboy, and i have to say that i usually try not to water right before a harvest as i had always figured it would sped up the drying process..
i'll have to try watering them my next crop right before harvest and see if i notice any difference ... thanks for the tip..

Riddle did a really good write up on how the fermentation process relates to cannabis. I have been looking through some of my bros notes to find it to no avail yet. Even though you have chopped the processes in the plant do not come to a grinding halt. There are a whole series of things that continue too occur on your way to prime bud. Maybe somebody else knows were to find it? I know its in this forum somewhere......

Thanks for the help. Makes me feel a little better. I hadn't watered for 3 days before chop. buds have been drying overnight now and seem to be firming up a bit. Just got worried like I always do because I am paranoid it won't turn out after all my hard work. Only have about 5 or so grows under my belt. Thanks
