Will This Site Be Compromised in America?

I would hope our federal government has more important issues at hand. As they said in Super High Me, "go bust a meth lab you fucking pussies".

I think your thinking of the sopa or something. It's going to be interesting in the next few months to see how far they push these new "powers" they have.

I really am not sure, I have read a lot of conspiracy talk about the ndaa but I haven't seen any proof so ill call that bs. As for that sopa or whatever it seems they are going to have a much more administrative role in the internet. I would call this bs on its face but China can do it, even Egypt did it to a degree. If they can do it I doubt our government would pass that kind of control up.

Sopa is now NDAA and they put homeland security on it like they try and block NFL games. All in the name of national security. Write your Congress. Google American Censorship and I am sure a form will come up, for you to type your paranoid name in it and hit send.
I get a letter from those schmucks ( Senate, Congress and Obummers staff) all the time. I am one of the few who sign petitions...

Like Raw Milk, is going to be illegal. 180 people died from it, since the 80's was their answer. They just want the farmer to bend over and pay the homogenize tax. PERIOD! All while everyone sits on their hands expecting the next guy to clean up the camp ground.

the site is ALREADY compromised. How many of us declare our true identity here? The nature of government is to control others all the while calling it "protection"....I'd say they're proceeding just about on schedule.

There is little real chance that the U.S. will manage to attain full censorship. Hell, Silk Road is selling heroin over the net and so far there is nothing the DEA or anyone else can manage to do about it.

Even if full censorship is not attained, I submit that any level of government sponsored censorship is a very hypocritical authoritarian position to take when one considers that people used to say, "it's a free country".

If you're referring to blackout areas where a game will not be aired then you need to blame the right people. That would be the owners and football organizations. They want you to pay out the ass for stadium tickets so they can make a bigger profit.

If SOPA NDAA passes, I think the next thing is to go get that Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and the Constitution and use them as toilet paper.

of course the patriot act doesn't help catch terrorists. These things are designed to catch our own citizens. Like all those TSA scanners and agents walking around, they have yet to catch a single terrorist, but holy shit they sure have caught a bunch of evil people who had non prescription drugs on them. Don't worry America, it has only cost us $1 trillion to try to catch these terrorists, don't worry that we haven't actually found any, but we have been throwing your children in jail.

I believe he might be referring to how it is part of The Department of Homeland Defense to stop pirated transmissions, like football games, hockey games, etc. being shown online.

Example from last year:

[h=2] Federal Government Shuts Down Movie Streaming Websites[/h] Movie streaming sites beware

The ongoing fight against piracy by the entertainment industry has taken a new turn. The LA Times reported that the federal government has closed down a number of movie websites that has content available to download and stream. Piracy is a big problem on the net thanks to high speed broadband connections and search engines which make finding a movie simply a couple of mouse clicks away.
Last week the new Obama administration launched n initiative to stamp out piracy. This looks to be a first step with the feds shutting down nine websites responsible for streaming pirated movies to the world.
ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) chief John Morton trumpeted the bust as the beginning of a “long-term effort to turn the tables on these thieves.”
Federal authorities announced that they had seized domain names from nine websites engaged in the “criminal theft of American movies and television.” The websites include TVShack.net, PlanetMoviez.com, ThePirateCity.org and Ninjavideo.net. Combined, the sites drew 6.7 million visitors a month, authorities said.
Officials also seized assets from 15 bank, investment and advertising accounts and executed residential search warrants in North Carolina, New York, New Jersey and Washington, according to a statement from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which coordinated its investigation with the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies.
The crackdown, which involved 100 agents working in 11 states and the Netherlands, was part of a renewed campaign dubbed Operation in Our Sites by federal authorities to curb Internet counterfeiting and piracy. The announcement comes a week after the Obama administration unveiled a detailed plan on how to tackle global piracy, including targeting illegal websites.
The difference between this bust and previous ones is that the websites in question did not actually offer the movies for download, but instead streamed the movies and TV shows. Previously, movie crackdowns had concentrated on sites that distributed movie files.
So could this be the end of illegal movie and tv streams? Well, this is a drop in the ocean of sites that provide this kind of content, and with new ones appearing every day plus most of the streaming coming from China who are no assistance to the US authorities. Dont bet on a pirate free web anytime soon.

Yep, all the government has to do now is lie and say that you were streaming illegal movies and shut down your site.

Then you have to prove that it wasnt happening.

God Bless AmeriKa...

As the DHS sees it....

Medical marijuana site = left wing extremists
Gun site = right wing extremists
Social media = everyone else spilling their guts about what they do in life! Now DHS will place them in one of the two categories above!

They made the SOPA / NDAA thing seem like its the same and its not.

Congress pushed NDAA which is anti terrorism / holding people in Gitmo / torture without cause forever law

RIAA and MPAA, the "music" and "entertainment" ( GARBAGE ) industry, wants the SOPA which will shut down torrent sites, newsgroup nzb sites, etc, even if they are foreign! I think they would be censored!

Obama approved the NDAA, but said no to the SOPA

And yes, we cannot forget the propaganda on tv about how smoking pot is supporting terrorism.
