How can I keep deer and rabbits out of my garden?

I dug a plot, only to return and find rabbit and/or deer poop all over. Now I'm worried.
Unless you're worried about it being spotted, I live on acreage and use a solar hot wire set-up to keep rabbits and my dogs away from my crops.
It's never failed and is totally affordable.
Good luck.

The deer an rabbit spray (liquid fence) is ok.
But cages are the only 100% way.
An you must cage the roots or they dig right in.

fences man. make a wire fence at least 3 feet high - add a few barbs on the top wire to stop the deer trying to jump it. for rabbits wrap chicken wire a few inches around the first foot of stem.

where I'm at, there must be hundreds if not thousands of rabbits, the only way I can deal with them is buying wrapping the perimeter of my plants with chicken wire. I don't have much troubles with deer, but any strong man made kinda scents keep away a lot of animals including deer. Ive heard of human piss is supposed to work, I don't really know, But I piss close to my plants usually when I'm in the area (marking my territory lol). Ive heard people putting fishing line up at different heights, to help protect from deer. Maybe if you take Bambi's head and stick it on a wooden steak next to your plants, it will scare away all the deer lol.

Rabbits can be problematic as we are burrowers. I put some PVC pipe sliced in half lengthwise around the base of my brother in laws plants outside to keep them from chewing the stalks.

Fishing line can be spotted hundreds of yards away on a sunny day, gives off a nice glint. Last time I had deer problems I switched to twine, placed at 18" and 3' ht.

Go to your local zoo and ask for some Lion poo. Deers will smell that and surly stay away.

piss would work for the deer bc theyd smell it and stay away... as far as rabbits... you are def gonna have to protect your roots/ possibly whole plant... i would suggest a fence but i have used chili powder and bloodmeal which both worked as well... another thing that works for deer is attaching plastic grocery bags so the wind can catch them and create noise in the area of your plant... this seems to deter them as well... good luck...

I have used and seen deer thwarted by staking a tent of bird netting around each plant or the area. At night they can't see it and shy away when the encounter it, during the day it seems to keep grasshoppers to a minimum.

The other option is chicken wire. Pee, poop, blah blah do not always work.

Oh, and .270 wsm works too...
