When should I harvest? (PICS)

I am now in the 10th week of flower and I still see no amber trichs. I want to harvest when resin production hits it's peak. When do you all think they will be done?

one week.... two at the most... give her 48 hours of darkness b4 you harvest.... the plant thinks its dieing and it pumps out all the resin

btw nice trichs. those are all nice n phallic... on the other note.. i really really think that you have a lot of amber trichs. do you have a better micro than that? more 60-100x scale... and i dont know about the two days of darkness thing... i tried it last time and it didnt change anything.

howd u take the pic? micro-camera? :-P

Of course I have an illuminated mircoscope. I got it from radioshack. There are no amber trichs, they are all cloudy and clear......I think it may have just been the camera in some I guess.

Opinion. You should really harvest when they're milky. When most of the trichs are milky you won't technically have the most potent buds but they will give you the most potent cerebral high. When they become amber, there's more THC but it's more of a stony indica high (as counter-redundant as it sounds this is true for both sativa's and indicas).

Anyways, i'm high so i hope that made sense but try to harvest when most of the trichs are milky or right when some turning amber.

Yeah seems a few people on here dont know the difference between pistol hairs and trichs. The hairs are getting amber trichs are the tiny little crystals on the plant those arnt amber yet. What strain is this in particular and you say waht 5 weeks flower right now?

This totally welcome here, I plan on harvesting when most are milky. I read that when trichs start to turn amber it has reached the peak resin production. I was wanting to wait till I saw only a few amber trichs. I don't like the couch stone, I like my cerebral high's, it helps me play Assassin's Creed better lol

OOOOOh I see, so you think those other peeps saw the pistils and thought OOOOoooOOOOoooo. I was like "I know the difference" lol. No particular strain that I know. Very good bagseed. It's my first attempt so this is all new to me, but I have done my research. I'm on the 10th week of flowering, it just feels like it's taking forever.



I have 2 plants. One sativa, one indica/sativa (this one is turned purple on the tips. It just started to about 3 days ago?)

lol and Im the opposite I luv a good couch lock body high and hate a head high as I cant function if Im high in the head but luv to do what I do when I cant feel my legs

yeah not you I meant the ones saying they see all amber they were looking at hairs not trichs lol your on the right page they were off so wanted to let them know..They llok real nice for bag seed pretty buds. Since they are sativa heavy Id go with about 2 weeks on those maybe 3 just watch the color of the trichs you sound like you know what your looking for

well one is totally sativa, the other is indica dominent. I was so suprised to see the indica turn purple!!!! Because it was bag seed I didn't think it would be so quality you know? I actually cut off a bud a couple of week ago and dried and cured for a couple of days. When I did smoke it I got high, I was so suprised! Because I knew resin production hadn't even slowed! So now I know they must be some danky shit. I was looking at them under my illuminated scope and I think I saw a possibe ONE AMBER TRICH but it had been broken off, the stem looked amber that's fo sho'. It's the only one I have seen anywhere on the plant.

yeah Im an indica fan and not much for sativas at all.I try to grow pure indicas or no less then 70% indicas if I can help it.The high to me is much better and narcotic and I use it as partial treatemnt for my 2 crushed vertabra in my back so it helps if it gets the nerves and muscles jellied
