haha yea they must of got twice as tall really starting to take off, going to try lend a digital camera 2moz to get sum really good pics that vinegar trick u told me has worked a treat aswell gave them a feed of just water yesterday next water will get them nutes againthat's good to hear...thats why pics can help even just for yourself to see the differences, as you are used to see it all the time, don't notice the whole thing just what we see, but looking back kinda makes you think too. can hardly believe it at times, some of the shit we put are plants through. ha
can't wait to see the progress
great to hear...well I would not try to harm you plants, as I love em all , MJ.haha yea they must of got twice as tall really starting to take off, going to try lend a digital camera 2moz to get sum really good pics that vinegar trick u told me has worked a treat aswell gave them a feed of just water yesterday next water will get them nutes again
yeah i really cant wait to see these bud, under hps should get sum nice frosty nugs and nah ur nt blabbing ur helping me a ton my cottoncandy is slightly breaking soilgreat to hear...well I would not try to harm you plants, as I love em all , MJ.
I want to see them grow so you get the best you can from it, and learning as you go is the best experience you can ask for.
ok ima stop blabbing now.
12-14 weeks of vegging will give you a plant that is too big to manage unless you are growing outside, or training, so LST will def help keep it under control. I suggest growing the plant just long enough to "do a lap" around the container its growing in, trying to keep the canopy as even as possible, and always try to keep the lead growth tied lower than the rest of the plant, this helps distribute more growth hormones to the branches.cotton candy has just been planted any 1 no how big she will get in 12-14 weeks of vegging ? not looking for a monster plant just a nice size also gonna do the lst method
ahh ok thanks mate yea its my 1st time doing the lst method will read up a lil more about it, i no this is a stupid question but if all goes well do u no ruffly how much i would yield ? looking for a oz thanks for the advice12-14 weeks of vegging will give you a plant that is too big to manage unless you are growing outside, or training, so LST will def help keep it under control. Yield can be tricky to calculate because of all the possible variables involved, but if everything goes smoothly, you should be able to meet your oz per plant goal. A lot of people like to say 1 gram, per watt, per meter squared, or whatever it is (usually applies to a SOG style set-up), but that isn't accurate in my opinion, since I and friends have had varying results in either direction of that estimate based on experience, set-up, strain, nutes, etc.. I say any plants that are not auto-flower should be grown to about 10-12 inches tall, then switch to 12/12 because most will double or triple in height during flowering, but that changes a bit when doing LST or another type of training. This method has yielded 1-2 oz per plant under 150-200 watt HPS, to my and my friends' experience. This is using a regular nute regimen, no additives or boosters of any kind, just a basic 1-2-3 nute solution. I just harvested 2 plants that were put to flower under CFL's when they were about 10-12 inches tall, grown in hydro, DWC (deep water culture), using general hydroponics flora series nutes, which is pretty basic. At harvest they were 2-3 feet tall, and close to 3 oz wet weight each, which should give me about an oz per plant. These plants were pretty neglected, all the care they got was light from 4 CFL bulbs and a full nute resevoir, which I even managed to let run dry a few times, and was not light proof, which lead to the roots being covered in green algae. I never checked or balance the pH in the res, basically just topped it off with fresh nutes every time. As long as you give them the basic care they need, they will reward you. A lot of people use different methods to boost their yield, but I believe most people can grow healthy plants with a 1-2 oz per plant yield with even basic set-ups.ahh ok thanks mate yea its my 1st time doing the lst method will read up a lil more about it, i no this is a stupid question but if all goes well do u no ruffly how much i would yield ? looking for a oz thanks for the advice

She should be nice and big and healthy by the time the autos are done, you will definitely have to LST to keep her short. I'm throwing a wild guess out and saying your autos are going to take 8-10 weeks from now, in which time an untrained plant can be a monster, for example my AI was untrained at roughly 6 weeks of veg, and close to 2 feet tall when she went 12/12, I did some branch bending and she is still 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide in all directions now at the last week of flowering.ahh nice yea its going to be 1 plant under the hps when she flowers, 2 oz would be a nice little reward i mean im not going to over care it but i wont neglect it hehe, ahh only 12 inches and u got that uch, nice yea im using bio bizz stuff with coco medium so im aiming for a 1oz-2oz the more the better lol, thanks for your advice, if she dont look that big after my autos are done il let her vegg a little longer haha

If you LST a plant for that long, you will most likely increase your overall yield significantly, since there will be a lot more "tops" than if grown untrained. Look into the SCROG method for when you're ready to flower and you may even get more, because you can get all the branches to where they will get the most use of your light. LST will def increase your yield. As for my Aurora Indica, I'm hoping to get 3-4 oz once its dry and cured, which would be very satisfying for my first hydro grow, but even 2 oz would make me happy. I plan on experimenting with a full LST/SCROG grow sometime this year.dam lol nicee, yea so do u think the lst method will be best for yield>? or even better than a untrained plant? how much u expecting of ur momster?
ahh i look into it, yea seems lst is the way im going to go for sure cant wait to see how she turns out when is a good time to start the lst ? ive heard after the 3rd set of leaves is a good time to startIf you LST a plant for that long, you will most likely increase your overall yield significantly, since there will be a lot more "tops" than if grown untrained. yea ive found all the info ive already got for lst on this site its like google but for weed lol, yea i cant wait to start it will be my 1st time doing the lst method and my 2nd grow lol, so fingers crossed i dont make the same mistakes as i did with the cm and sbdSounds about right, you basically just want to give your girls enough time to be rooted firmly before you start pulling them over, but for the stem to still be nice and flexible. A good bit of advice is to anchor the main stem in the opposite direction of the first tie down so you don't put too much stress on it and the roots near the surface. Basically just tie it tight enough to resist the pull of your first tie down, just always be careful to not break or crease the stems, they can be fragile. You can find lots of great pics, info, and guides all over RIU.
haha look at it 1 way atleast u got it to bud lol , yea i just hope my cotton candy is gonna turn out nice heard alot of good reviews about cotton candy , yea ive learned a little already and only been growing a few weeks lolExperience is a great teacher, most people make a lot of unforgiving mistakes the first grow or two, but learn a lot from those mistakes. I usually don't even talk about my first grow, because it was kind of embarassing, haha. Let's just say it was a seed from a bag of mids, grown indoors in Miracle Grow potting soil, not nutes or fertilizer, grown under a fluorescent shop light mounted to the ceiling in an open room. I took the advice of someone who had no idea what they were talking about and cut it down way too early, and didn't properly dry the airy immature buds I managed to harvest, all in all a big waste of time.
This is a great platform for sharing info, you just have to do your own research, and find what works for you and your situation best, as everyone grows differently, and finds different info more or less valuable. Lots of fellow hobbyists and pro growers alike, everyone with an opinion. Good luck man. Every crop will teach you something new, but with a little time, you will be enjoying some nice harvests in the future.
fanx for the rep man, yea il deff come check your grow love to see how lst works, cant wait to start with the candy shes kinda broken soil so in about 2-3weeks will mayb startLooking good bro! I'll sub up! +rep! For sure lst. Bop over to my grow journal to see how the lst is beneficial! It's given me nice bushes with an even canopy!! Let me know if you have questions!
