[FONT=Tahoma, Calibri, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]Hey all! I'm super excited and have to share with all of you! My boss just called me and wants me to be the supervisor ad his new account! I'm the fuckin man! I've only been with the company a year! I made lead at my current site in less than 6 months. I turned this site around and made it much easier to manage, and now I'm getting reward for my work, and this is a LARGE worldwide company. It makes me feel good that I'm getting recognized in such a big company where it's easy to just get passe over. Some of the people on my team haven't even met our boss!
It's like since I've been growing and getting better, you just get this swag. It like bleeding into other parts of my life. I've always been very confident with myself. But lately it's like I've just been making positive things happen left and right. I hadn't noticed, but after I got off the phone I was like duh! I hadn't even noticed until I just put some thinking to it. Plus being single is starting to be a lot better than I had thought. It's helping me focus and not have negativity.
I just had to share, as this site has kinda become a place for me to chill and share my thoughts more often. Although as the stupor isle at the new site I won't be able to chat with you all as much

In 10 to 15 years you'll be making too much money and they'll lay you off and hire someone new for less. just a thought, I've seen it and quite frankly don't like the tactic , fuck the man.

That exact thing just happend to my mom with a company she was with over 30 years. Canned her ass and got 3 people to do the job for what she made. Then my parents had to go bankrupt to keep the house they raised me and my brother in.

But I am young, and this is not a downer thread. Thanks for the synasism though!

No prob, someone's gotta keep in touch with reality, other than that good luck with the new position.

Seven years at the same job. Employee of the month several times. Employee of the year. I was nominated for the "Cornerstone of Excellence" award and was given a bonus and a cool leather jacket. I was head of my department. One day they called us into a meeting and said, "We are closing down all the offices in New Mexico and moving out of state." They gave us a token severence and sent us on our merry way. Two years later I finally land a job. My savings are wiped out. My 401K is gone. Everything I worked for and saved is no more. Their excuse for doing this? "We are trying a new business model."

There is no such thing as job security anymore.

Yea guys I know how the market is, that's why I take my good job now and continue the grow mission. I'll just keep staking chips on the side in that fashion.

The fact that people love to pay for dank ass herb is all the job security I need!

Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel, this past summer after working at the same place for about 10 years I finally got my employer to give me a promotion, raise and full medical for my wife and I. It is indeed a celebration.
