I find the sat dom types can drag there feet at the beggining but its on when it's on.

how can you call your vk an ugly duckling?that is sooo mean. please be nicer to her . i think she looks great and really cant tell that she is ugly at all. shes got nice tight internodes and looks healthy. sorry to hear about your heat issues.. are you running your lights at night? can you put the vk in a bucket and put ice around it to keep the rez temps cooler. I bought one at walmart. I wonder if you have walmart in austrailia? I found it in the auto section . it is an oil bucket. short and round to fit perfectly around the waterfarm. also Dayzt said put it on concrete. dont know if you heard about that either.

hey amb's nah we dont have walmart here but we have similar stores. i have it raised up on a concrete block. the res temps are ok still at this stage. i just say shes ugly cause shes all folded up because of the heat i actually love the way she is growing i think shes going to be very nice in flower. i just wont bother with kush's again in summer i think they will do better in winter.

well folks its update time again though this time round i dont feel like i have seen much progress. i think she might have had some sort of lockout problem. as u know i have been knocking my ppms back down as she didnt seem to be eating much lately but i also noticed she has not been taking in as much water either so i decided to do a flush. i flushed with flora kleen for 2 hrs then i did a second flush with h2o2 for 2 hrs then i went back to a nute solution of 1300ppm however as im a little concerned about my roots now i added h2o2 to this aswell. the interesting thing is she immediately started eating again she took the ppm's right back down to 300ppm overnight so she ate like 1000ppm. im going to do another change this morning and put her back up to 1500ppm and see how she likes that. im going to use h2o2 all the time from now on. also im very paranoid that she may be herming on me. i know i have been through this before with her and it turned out ok but some of the buds just dont look right with little bare patches that im praying are just new bud growing and will soon be bursting with hairs. but thats what worries me the most is that the tops of the offending buds arent getting hairs just these little bare patches. im probably just being paranoid so i will just watch and see what happens for the time being
this is the best pic i could get to show one of the offending buds i know its not real clear so i dont expect to get a definitive answer i will just wait and see what happens. i really need a better camera

The h2o2 is a good idea mate if heat is a factor, how are the roots looking. That's the reason I dropped dedicated hydro. I was close to buying a chiller for the multiple res's, I found a way to daisy chain and cool all the res's with 1 chiller, it's on RIU axtually where I got the idea. The temps where I am fluctuate to the extremes.
There should be plenty of cal/mag in your nutes and tap water but I know the kushes can be calmag hogs, how are the roots? Maybe bump her back down and raise slowly, if the ppms are high she could be locking out. cheers tran. res temps are fine. its actually quite cool down there under the canopy. still going to stick with the h2o2 though. and as far as cal mag goes i use r/o water and its the 3rd cal mag def i have had while just using flora nova so im just going to add a little cal mag every change aswell. i dont think there was a real problem the flush and changes are more of a preventative measure
yeah tran when she first showed sex, before 12/12 even she was throwing out mostly female flowers but then 1 or 2 shoots that looked like they were going to be nannas but then they just turned out to be little retarded leaves and fell off so i thought that was the end of it. maybe should have binned her then and there but oh well. im going to stick with her see what happens if its just one or 2 buds i will just chop em off and life goes on.
either way i still have the vk. im flipping her in a matter of days. if i decide to bin the buddha i will stick the vk under the 600 on the big scrog and let her do her thing. and this should make u happy... start up the satori. in fact im sprouting one just in case anyway. if i dont need it it becomes a bonsai mother or father.
