need an older grower to tell me if i made the right choice

yeah thanks man and i took out tht other bulb and went looking around the house my parents love cfl bulbs they waste money but all i could found was one so right now i have a twelve watt cfl in an office lamp ove rthe soil waiting for the shoot to come out

lol dont kill his hopes, im three weeks into flowering on my first grow and one of my plants has a HUGE yeild already.

Im also using like 15 bulbs >_>

Since you live with your parents, secure their awareness/permission for your grow. Do NOT involve them in illegal activity without their consent. I won't even ask if you meet the site's age requirement. But if you're doing this on the sly from those who own the house ... STOP now. That is my best advice. cn
 
yeah im planning on using a lot of bulbs too but ip probably gonna have to accumulate them over time but rightnow i have small lil one tht has yellow light its a flourescent and im thinking this one is gonna be used during flowering time

this is good advice. They will notice the difference in the electric bill, and if you get busted somehow, they will be charged as well.
 
i have no worries there they both smoke and my moms boyufriend has been talking about doing a pc grow and my moms just happy im not shooting anything up or snorting anything just smoking a plant haha

For about a hundred watts they won't notice ... that's like a TV being left on. But I wonder of our young padawan has thought ahead to controlling:
1) heat (there will be some.)
2) noise (for the fans that control item 1)
3) odor (ooohh big one there).

my plan on the difference is tis they have a few lights they leave on at night so im planning on waitint til they go to bed turn those off and replace those with my bulbs so imhoping there will be lil to no difference on the electric bill
 
i have all that under control my moms boyufriend is an hourly smoker so i dont have to worry about smell the house ususally smells like bud anyway

yeah cfl's are supposed to do tht i think and i got another question i saw these bulbs at like target or k and k that says sodium on them are those any good? and if they are wat stage of growing are they good for?
 
:leaf:You may want to consider a SCRoG grow as well, where you chop your plant a few times and let it bush out really well then mount a screen or trellis above it and spread all of the branches out really well so that all of the buds get a chance to fully mature!:-P
 
High Presure Sodium are for budding, but there are differant types of sodium bulbs... The yellow/orange street lamps are sodium vapor... Without more info, it's hard to judge a bulb...

I haven't seen LPS lights in any of the consumer stores ... they are true specialty lights for large contractors.
ale420, HPS is the way to go for medium and large grows, but in your size space you'd be courting more pain than pleasure. Small HPSs run very warm, and their efficiency is notably less than that of their big brothers. At the scale you're working, CFLs are pretty much the best choice. If you're shopping, assign priority to getting your big CFL bulbs ... cn
 
alright im thinking about tryin to get like at leas tthree hundred watts in cfl two hundred from above and maybe two one hundred flourotubes on the side ive been hearing side lighting is good for a better yield
