Aerogarden grow , plants looking sickly

Ok so I have 4 plants growing in an Aerogarden. Was using the Aerogarden hood, took it off and I am using the watering system of the Aerogarden and my own TekTwo T5 light for lighting. Used some nutes last week, then flushed water couple days after and I am only using filtered water from the fridge. As you'll see in some pics the bigger one is looking pretty sick, leaves kind of crispy and yellow, but center growth is good.

I will be transporting to soil soon, hopefully that goes good.

Any ideas what could be causing the larger plant to look so sickly? I had them closer to the light but thought maybe thats what was causing this.

Temp - 70degrees
Humidity 50%
Room - Ventilated :leaf:

Dude are you pouring cold water into the res, like from the fridge? because that seems like a beatiful K lock due to water temps.

You recognize it by looking at:
Over Stretched stems
Red branches
Dark Necrotic Spots
Slow growth

Fix: Keep your res temps around 75°F +/-3

I tried to wait a bit and warm water temp before refilling but it mightve been colder than usual. I am not sure of the ph of the water. Never done a hydro grow before. Will I be ok just taking them out of areogarden and putting in soil ? havent really given much nutes yet.

To the OP:
Is not completely wasted man, they're still alive. You'll need Ph/temp/ppm reader to start with. So go shopping as soon as you can. Aeroponic plants transplanted to soil is almost a sure kill as the roots aren't prepared for the intake of water in that condition and will choke. You'd need to put them first in DWC, then wait for a solid root mass to develop so you can safely transplant to soil which would be IMO a complete waste of time. The right approach to take is to get the reader and follow the label instructions of your fertilizer which is...??

Oh, bless you for trying to keep it positive and helpful. But honestly, you're talking about hundreds more dollars in investment, a learning curve, and then implementation. Those plants don't have that much time, and I'm not sure the OP has the inclination.

Sometimes it's just better to say stop and read some more before you do anything else.

I don't agree, we're here just to give and receive advice not to psychoanalyze or discourage the OP. IMO the best way to learn is to fuck up despite of the time it costs, of course theory is very important as well but he can still get it down on the run as he's doing hydro, don't you think?. Furthermore in order to GROW one knows you have to invest at least 200$ bucks in good nutes and a reliable reader. Next step would be learning to calibrate it which is a breeze, what else he needs we can provide, so why fuck it all?

He shoulda done all that shit before planting a single thing.

And no, in all honesty, I don't think he can buy/learn/implement on the fly like that if he was thinking of transplanting to soil as a means of correcting his problem.

Maybe he should take a deep breath and do a bit of research so that when he does come to us for help, he'll at least be doing some things correctly. Giving advice and telling someone exactly what to do every step of the way are two different things. I've been asked to be a paid consultant, and that's really the only way I'm going to tell someone how to do everything every step of the way.

What did those clones or seeds cost? What great financial loss will it be for him to scrap and start over? What if he went and bought all that stuff you suggest in a rush, tried to figure it out in a rush... but it turns out it was too little too late? He loses the grow anyway and is now further discouraged for having spend more money and effort for nothing.

damn I don't even know what to say, this is a site where growers post and ask questions and this is in the problem section which is why I posted here for advice. To sit here and be a dick saying I wasted my time and I should've read up. I was taking a chance, trying it out, people learn from mistakes and I really don't think these plants are done for. I grew high quality bud in soil no problem so I am not an unexperienced grower, I am just new to hydro.

Now for the guy who was actually normal about all this, is there a way to save these? If its a must I will grow them in the areogarden setup for a bit more and then transplant them into a Bubble boy type setup. If its a definite they won't survive in soil (even with ocean forest) then I will throw them in a bigger hydro setup.

I've seen a lot of people getting ragged on for posting questions, if you don't want to help out don't be a dick, not everyone is as experienced as you

Hey dude...
I think u choose hard way of growing such as aero....
Dwc is better and easier ... I started aero 3-4 years ago and by prblms dont use that way ....I know the plant grow awesome in aero mode....
But u can use some different hydro method .....U can c my room its like hydro ....

Yes they're aren't even droopy. Get a good read on pH, temps and ppm's, make sure to top your res with ambient temp water no more cold to the roots. Aero is a double sword as plants react most quickly to changes. I think you shouldn't give up on your current setup just to tame it. Remember it's always the archer, not the arrow.

I did a couple of aerogarden grows and was getting problems until i invested in a PH kit, you should get that sorted asap dude. What nutes are you using? I found the ones that come with the AG work pretty well.
