First Grow - CFL

Well, I know I need a different color temp for flowering, and honestly this whole thing has been pretty spontaneous. I've been taking it day by day and going with the flow. I've been trying to get things and set things up as I go along and think it needs it... I am definitely open to lighting suggestions!
 
I wasn't prepared to set my "sunrise" time initially and I had heard it was better to keep the time your lights come on always the same. Then I read somewhere it wouldn't hurt the plant to run 24 hours and would make it grow faster, and since I'm so excited and impatient I figured faster would be better! I'm not sure exactly on the strain. The seed came from a bag of blueberry kush but with bag seed you never really know what kind of plants were involved exactly so....

why are you running lights 24 hrs...is it an auto strain?...if not... best if they get some rest, even 20/4 or 18/6

you can mix bulbs eg for ever two 6500k run one 2700k, and for flowering run two 2700k with one 6500k... as an example. or 3/1 ratio.

overall Give's better spectrum ;)

Yeah its good to keep them on the same schedule. There are a lot of people who run 24/0 but honestly I don't see any difference. I have done it and to me its a waste of power. And honestly a lot of beneficial things go on during dark time. So I prefer to have some darktime. I go 18/6. During the daylight your plant is storing energy to use during that dark period. It wont hurt to run 24/0 but honestly its not worth it. But that's just my preference. Some growers will say difference. If you feel that running them 24/0 will get them done faster then by all means go for it. But if it was me I wouldn't.

I'm using miracle grow soil tooooo... unbeknownst to me at the time... it is not so great, but our plants are pretty anyway right =) ? How tall is the plant/ plants in your pics?
 
I read that on your blog earlier... how stupid to spoil such a wonderful thing. What were they hurting?? Can you just imagine all the crazy high people and how paranoid they must have been to see the damn police! Buzz kill for sure....
 
I too am using MG, I've read and been told multiple times just to be careful not to overwater or you'll release too many nutriantes at once and burn your leaves up. So far I have not had a problem using it.

I think so...she is one plant Lst'd 24" in first pics ...36" in final pics...i use lots of perlite mixed in my soil.

So true....I wait til she is dried out...then I Make it Rain! seriously til there is significant runoff...then let dry out and repeat ;)

Exactly my method, The top of the soil dries out quick but it takes a WHILE for all the locked in moisture to be used up

I know right. That would of freaked me out. But its funny people will still partying in the back of the line as the front of the line was being searched. That's so awesome. Sucks that one person got arrested too.

My theory is Less is More, and I'm trying to get the most by using the least, so that when I decide to go big...Watch out :-P
 
Very nice =). I think mine would be taller if it wasn't so tight but I'm not complaining! I've heard the buds are bigger and tighter with the nodes closer together.

they will stretch during flowering, could double in size... nothing wrong with tight nodes...Its a bush
