Clones taken at 8 weeks of flowering.

Ok I know from what I read on line its very hard to clone towards the end of the flowering cycle however I have done so and the clone has reverted back to Veg and is growing great. My question or concern is this.

I only have one clone from the strain I wanted to save and I can either let her go a bit longer and clone from her or if I leave her vegging for the next 2 weeks and flower her due to not having the space to keep a mother plant all the time will that lesson my yield from her? Are clones from flowering plants less than when it comes to overall yields or is the only downfall the time it takes to root and convert back to veg?

I saw many articles saying to never do this but I have also seen many that say it is best to take from flowering plants as they will produce more due to more nodes.

No its always best to take from a mum in full veg, not old and flowering (nearing the end). if you had success cloning it should re veg ok and grow as normal.

from my experience from a clone from a flowering plant it still produces fine like any other clone but it seemed to grow slower and did not grow as tall but was very very bushy and had quite a few funny looking leafs during the re-veg but turned out fine in the end, but as stated above it is best to take from a healthy mum in veg.

Yes I know it is best however in this case it is not possible due to timing.

I did the same thing and had about the same results. I think It's always better to take clones from a plant in veg. but like you the timing is why I do it. The yield is questionable some times I get a great yield and other times they just don't seem to grow that good.
