White Widow Attempt 2

Magnificent plant; I agree with all ... but I'd suggest staying with 12/12. For those extra milligrams. ;) cn
the nirvana web site recommends 8 hours of light in the last to weeks, the less lights is signal that the season is almost over and triggers the plant to produce more. i guess its like putting the plant in the dark for a day or two right before harvest.

nirvana actually said that? i thought growing advice was fairly no-go from seed banks

Nirvana Seeds White Widow original seeds are (60%/40%) indica/sativa cross-strain and is best suited to indoor cannabis cultivation. Cannabis seeds grow as high as 35-80 cm with the yield up to 450 gr per m2. It's suggested to flower (12 hour light) this marijuana variety for 8 weeks, but 10 weeks will really give you the crystals you are after. Try to turn the lights off altogether the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle- or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from re-growth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower! The buds have so much THC on them that it is hard to see them at all.
Our White Widow original seeds produce plants that give you the taste of freshness laced with many fruits, because of the strength of the cannabis crystals - the only real taste goes hand in hand with the expectorant effects of the THC. You better try it for yourself. The smell is strong pungency. It first hits you, then follows a sour sweetness with the final whiff ... turning sweet. If a plant could have a strong body odour then the White Widow needs a deodorant.
Cannabis smokers adore its sweet, thick, acrid smoke that imparts a hammering stone. Extremely powerful. Experienced smokers only.
White Widow is the backbone of the Nirvana Seeds industry and is one of the most famous marijuana strains in modern growing.

amazing man. i never doubted you with that light setup though, im really envious. can you move them easily? is one plant per grow enough for you or are you gonna work out a way of adding another?

its a prototype i have it chains that i move manually as it grows, and the lights are attached by metal plates that i can bend to move in and out up and down a lil bit, but it can be a pain to get the back ones.

my eventual plans are to have a 250 hps over top and have two plants but thats not happening anytime soon, plus i wanna perfect my rig make things a lil more user friendly, plus my setup runs hot so i still need to figure out how to put an a/c in a 3x3 tent, i have some ideas but i dont want to invest more money right now. I'm just goin to sit tight and grow my money back then go from there

Every once and awhile, while i'm cruising the forum I see ppl hating on MG. I don't know why. Seemorebuds book on cfl growing recommends it (that's why I use it),
I have a couple theories as to why.
First i think watering to frequently releases to many nutes. I give my plant a heavy watering tap water that i leave out for at least 2-3hrs to let the chlorine evaporate 1 a week.
And second lights, i can get my cfls really close giving my plants enough light to grow as fast enough to use up all the nutes.
I even start adding nutes in the 2 week of flower.

Sorry don't want to preach thats just some stuff thats been on my mind

I think its because of how strong MG is mostly. Easy to over fert and happens to a lot if not most people who use it. Giving it a bad rap. :leaf: They have products i like and dont like. To each their own. But it works :D

ive never used MG but maybe over-ferting can be prevented by like you said, not over-watering, but also maybe keeping the MG much lower in the pot covered by layers of perlite so the plant only uses it when its big enough

Yea, like you said it's mainly an overwatering (which leads to nute burn) problem thanks to those time water released fert pelletes (the white/yellowish balls... not the perlite). Plenty of grows are completed without a problem with MG, you just have to be more careful. If you can make it work, i see no problem with it, some people are just perfectionists/purists.

that looks awesome
Thanks man.

I'm still a newb though, when it comes to patience and letting her finish. because its 9.5 weeks and still needs another week(its suppose to be 8-10week flower), still a bunch of white pistils left and less then 10% amber trichs. Some hopefully i'll have the patience to let her finish lol.

Also would the seeds have anything to do with the long finish

OK here we go, day 68 of flower. almost there I think i'm going to chop next weekend. Do you guys thinks its goin to be ready?
Also what do you guys think the yield will be, over/under 3 oz. Anything over 1 is a bonus, i should be able to make 1 oz last till my next harvest.

has anyone ever seen a thread about yields. Maybe a thread where you post some quality pics of your plant and then ppl can guess what your yield will be and then when its all dry and weighed out, the winner can get a few rep points or just bragging rights. I think it will be good too because ppl are always asking about yield(especially us newbs who have visions of 1lb plants under a couple of cfls), so i thought this could be a fun way to build up some references points about what is a realistic yield, also you can find plants similar to yours or grow style (cab, scrog, hydro,# of watts ect,). i might start a yield thread when i harvest, what forum would be the best to post it in? General? Advanced? Harvest?
