Help me save them....

All right fellow growers... I am at my whits end.

Most of you know, but for those who do not, I just wrecked a great grow and am now trying to same the plants. Please help in any way you can. I am pretty sure I am close to losing them. This is a little long, but I want you to have the details so I will break it up into a few posts.

I started flowering on the 11th of Feb. I switched to 12/12 and to 2700k lights. I also switch to bloom boost. I made the mistake of using it full strength, however they were still looking strong. See pics below from 02/12.

02/14... Things started to turn bad. The tops started turning down and started turning yellow on the edges of the leaves. I askhere on the forum what to do, and the general advise was to flush.

2-24... I thought I had pictures in between, but I didn't. On 2-20 I put the plants in a new grow box (as they had outgrown their old one.)

In the new box they have better light (or at least I think this is the case) and over all better conditions. 3 150w HPS above. 2 70w HPS on the sides and 5 42w CFLs across the back.

By 2-24 they look like shit and are clearly going south quick. I had no idea why. I repotted and flushed as I was advised.

This is the last day I gave them any water.

2-28 It has been 4 days since I gav them any water... they were still soaked and showing no sign of either recovery or drying out.

I took the worse of the two and replants them again trying to get as much of the wet soil away from the roots. I found mold down in the dirt and all messured a "4+" with the moisture meter.

The other 2 I left alone. They still read a 4 on the meter, and the new plants a 2 unless I get near the center of the roots... still a 4.

Today... 03-1 There is no sign of improvement. They continue to look like shit. There are new leaves, but shortly after they emerge they begin to turn yellow and in the end they fall off.

As anything I have done makes them worse, I am afraid to try anything.

A couple of more details. Their lights on temp is 86f. Lights off 75f. There is currently no CO2 added to the environment. The soil is MG Moister control. The type of soil I enjoy great result with from the beginning. As I stated before, they have been on 12/12 since 02/11 or 18 days. I will revert if required. I must do something!!!

Please helps folks... They keep getting worse. At this point there are not many leaves left. I keep going because there continues to be new growth.

In the past I have not had an issue, os I do not even have a PH meter at this time. I will go get a PH kit this morning and report back to you.

Right now I am going to repot the other two, depending on how they look when I check them in a few minutes. I am going to go as far as to rinse the roots and get all the dirt off before putting them in new fresh soil.

I am far from being an expert but maybe they are in constant shock with all the flushing and transplanting? Maybe they need time to recover? They look like crap, though. Sorry, dude and good luck.

hey man that sucks ass....there were signs of overwatering in the first pics you showed...i think that was the death of your babies=overwatering

It's not a ph issue. Ph simply locks out nutrients if it's too high or too low, those plants have classic signs of over-watering. The roots have been starved of oxygen and many of the tiny feeder roots and some of the larger roots have probably started to rot/die off.

My suggestion is this, but there's no guarantee itll work.

Take them out of the pot, get off as much soil as possible, dip the roots in some tepid water with a drop of Superthrive per gallon and a root conditioner like Biobizz root juice or Hygrozyme or Cannazym (follow the instructions!) Trim off any roots that aren't nice and white, if they're sandy coloured or going brown, it means they're dying. Repot them into some fresh soil mix and make sure there's at least 30% perlite/vermiculite in that soil mix. Give it a saturation of the same mix water you dipped the roots in (1 drop superthrive per gallon and whatever root conditioner you use) with about 20% run off and hope and pray the plant starts making some new roots.

I'd also perhaps reduce down the light for a while ie give it less intense light so it slows down photosynthesis and allows it to concentrate it's energies on repairing those oxygen starved and dying roots.

I am sure it was over watering. The two I transplanted yesterday look a little better today, so I just transplanted the other two. I knocked as much dirt off as possible and put them in new soil mix. I suspect they will recover.

One good side of this all... If I save them I will be able to advise other COMPETLEY STUPID FUCKING PEOPLE, who over water as I just did. They next guy who tell me to flush, I just might smack! ;)

CO2 will be ready by Monday. I suspect that will help too. Next will be heat problems, as spring is at the door. :)

Baby gro... almost missed you part of the thread...

I did basically as you suggested. The roots actully looked pretty good and there were some new ones trying to take hold toward the top where the medium was more dry.

They are in good dry soil now with perlite now. I will try to get some goood root conditioner today for the next time I water, but at this point, as they are still producing some green, I will let them dry out completely first.

Turning the light down is an interesting idea. I have been giving them more light. I will kill the side HPS for now and let the heat come down a little. Maybe even drop the top ones for the day and just run on the 5 CFLs.

I think you might have too much light. 800 watts in that small space. What type of ventilation do you have? Got to be quite HOT in there. I wouldn't use the CFL's. Give them just 2 of the 150's on top.

did u try adding hydrogen peroxide to your water? as it increases the amount of o2 to the roots straight away ive had plants lookin like your ones in pic (02-24) ,they lived, id agree with hearmenow to all the transplanting would not of helped ,if they do die -im sorry for ur loss- been there-
