Problems with watering

I have a plant that is roughly 2 weeks old. Everything was fine at first yet in the past day I've noticed that whenever I try to water the sprout it basically falls over. It literally takes almost no force for it to fall. This has happened once (barely) and the past time I watered it was worse.

Should I dig it up and try to plant it deeper or just wait it out and hope it roots down better?

Don't dig it up. Add more dirt to the top and kinda press it down around the stem. How often are you watering?

I usually water two times a day. Once around 10pm the other about noon-ish. And I'm not pouring all that much either. Especially after I noticed this.

Like I said I water more often I small amounts. By the time I actually do water the soil isn't moist. Hence why I water again.

so you let your root system sit in contact with moist soil for the most part all the time, not letting it get oxygen, and not letting it search out to find water lower in the pot, retarding its growth, and making a small unresponsive root system that doesn't have the ability to supply the plant above ground with the nutrients it needs? ;)

Take what you are watering it and quadruple it...dump it in...walk away for 2-3 days...repeat ;)

give him hell massah. lol dude you need to water it well then leave it alone untill it drys out. for a seedling about once a week. You have to give it a chance to breath.

Everything these guys have said is 100% correct. Once you get that lined out, get a fan on your plant. That will help to strengthen your girl.

It depends on how well the soil drains and dries as to how much to water it...yeah he's probably got a good 5 days to go between waterings...if you use as much perlite as I do I have to water every 2-3 :)

That's is true. I add about a 1/3 pelite to my seedling soil. When I put the seed into the soil I water it very well. Seed pops in 1-3 days. over the first week, if the top of the soil dries out I give it a few squirts of water with the spray bottle. but I seldom water the first week. then it goes to every 3-4 days. My room runs 75-80 humidity runs around 45%. the humidity changes with how many plants how big the pots are and when they were watered last.

I also agree it is overwatered. Depending on the medium and size of pot you should not be watering it every day, maybe every third day. Soak it good and let it dry almost all out (before it shows signs of wilting) before you water it again. What size pot is it in? Does it have drainage? What kind of medium is it in? This all plays a role in the situation. :D
