nirvana vs. Attitude

you can't compare nirvana to attitude. nirvana is a "breeder" and attitude is a seed bank that features multiple breeders (including nirvana)
i've never grown nirvana gear myself but know people who have and i wasn't impressed. without growing it myself though i can't be a fair judge.

i should also note that nirvana puts a similar disclaimer on their site as attitude does on theirs. from the nirvana site:
"Please note that all seeds are sold as souvenirs. We do not condone or encourage any illegal use of our products, nor can we be held responsible for any such usage."

you will hear just as many success/horror stories with nirvana as you hear with attitude. based on what i read on here, i would NEVER discredit either of these two over a shipping snafu. you're having illegal stuff mailed to you and sometimes shit happens. both companies are reputable enough with their stealth to where they shouldn't be flamed because customs snagged your shit. i know the tude will replace it if you paid for guaranteed shipping.

i say, just buy what you like. maybe you like the price, maybe you like the strain, whatever. if you get a warm fuzzy feeling after clicking "confirm" i'd say you did just fine.

I have just been confused and wondering because i read a couple of places where some seeds didn't sprout and Nirvana replaced them. That's why i was asking

I'm ignorant to "the Doc". I just keep hearing great stuff about those strains. have you tried their Master Kush, snow white, swiss cheese or blackberry? or what other strains from there would you recommend for a newb who is starting to get it down finally. I've learned a lot. I have some seed but if these seeds are as have been described to me I'm sure I can hit a home run on that crop!!
I've grown Master Kush but it was a freebie from the Attitude and I don't know who the breeder was. I'm growing some of the Doc's Iranian G13's right now and I'm very impressed! They are healthy, beautiful, bushy, squat little girls.

Yeah, as if that would hold up in court or mean diddly squat. Beans sitting on a shelf for a few years doesn't affect their viability unless they sit there for over 10 years or so. I've read of people on here that cracked beans from the 70's!
Seeds stored improperly have a lower germination rate after about a year. I found out the hard way with my own.

Yeah, but I didn't mean literally sitting on a shelf, LOL. They know how to take care of their precious goods.

they very well may have. the disclaimer is really just to cover their ass. like any company they are interested in making their customers happy if it means they will make more money. even the best company in the world will have some unsatisfied customers.

if you've read reports that nirvana reships for germination problems and attitude doesn't, and that's something that's important to you, i think your decision is made.

Hey all,

Attitude is a distributor, this is why they probably will not guarantee germination for the many, many breeder stocks they carry. Nirvana backs their gear b/c they made it and sell direct to customers. I would have ordered from Nirvana, only they don't breed for hardy outdoor projects so I wound up ordering elsewhere.

I wasn't compairing the 2--never bought from Attitude, but I did look at their site. To many "breeders" to choose from so I bought from Nirvana and am super satisified with their sales--service an esp. their seeds. Also, I didn't have to pay "extra" for the guaranteed shipping. I talked to customer service about my order an they were great! Didn't see this anywhere on Nirvana:
Unfortunately, E-mails may be ignored and remain unanswered if questions relate to the above and you may be refused a sale should you persist in requesting further information.

I just like dealin with nice, friendly folks that do what they say.

It's more about there being hundreds of seeds to order from attitude i could go nuts. I just want one good breeder with simple products. i'm definitely trying Nirvana

Nirvana's Ice and Pure Power Plant are two of the most desirable strains out there right now. They have some other very good genetics but these stand toe to toe with just about anything from anyone. I wouldn't be growing them if they were not.

I ordered some blackjack from nirvana. I accidentally fried my seedlings... 3 of 5 died. I contacted nirvana via weedportal. I told them 3 seeds did not germinate (not that I killed them). They gave me like a 15 dollar credit via their point system. Not exactly 3 free seeds... maybe like half off of 3 seeds. Still, I use nirvana just because of its simplicity and ease of use. This was 2-3 weeks ago.

NIRVANA ROCKS!!!! This was my 1st order from them:

11/6--ordered 5 White Widow fem.seeds
11/12--got order--I'm in US deep South:shock:
11/12--germed 3 seeds--saved 2 for later
11/14--3 babies cracked (paper towel/plates)--put in root starters & put in propog under light
11/15--3 babies sprouted within 4 hrs. of each other
11/16--2 leaves on 2 babies--2 leaves on other next day
11/18--they have 4 leaves & are about 2 1/2 in. tall

If can get any better plz let me know! I will forever be a Nirvana customer. I had a couple prob. (my fault) trying to order, but was fixed by support very fast. These people stand behind everything they say they do.:weed:They don't track orders so can't be traced back.;-)
These are my White Widow baby girl's: (11/19)--3 in. tall

I keep mine in the fridge in a ziploc with rice in it
i used to use 2 ziplocks and put them in ball jars. now i just use 2 zip locks!
when i first started breeding, i kept rice in the bags too. some years later, i read something that postulated that the rice could dry out the seeds so much that they won't pop (as opposed to just keeping the area dry). it was convincing enough for me to stop the practice and clean out the rice in most of my seed bags. of the strains i've grown out from the 90s, only one had a terrible ratio. out of 15 seedlings, 2 popped.

I'm a seed freak, I place my seeds in the fridge with 3 silicone pk's in a mason jar, you know, the ones that come with new electronics, or shoes and what not...I get em on e-bay, damn beans will last to where you can pass them on in ur will.
