Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

In terms for strains I love - MI-5, Auto-Assassin (both Short Stuff), Sweet Caramel and Auto-Blackjack (Sweet Seeds), Smurfberry (Sagmantha), and Santa (Flash Seeds). All of these will, if treated right rival a lot of photoperiod mj and yield more than one oz, sometimes more.

I used to use HPS in a closet set up. Do some research on leds, they really do work well. Advanced, Stealth, GLH, Hydroponics Hut - all of these four are excellent companies. Research before you buy if you go this route. The right ones work very well, but there is a ton of shit leds on the market.

thanks for the info mate i'm really pleased with the mi5 and critical mass auto.how long did your mi5 take start to finish:peace:

Awesome nugs dude. I will be putting some Mi5 outside in the spring. I'll be running some indoor soon to do a seed run. Were there different phenotypes or is this a fairly stable strain? I'm really looking forward to the buzz from these. I love space weed!

View attachment 1881689View attachment 1881690View attachment 1881677MI-5 is amazing the final smoke will blow you away. It also breeds amazing well with photo period plants that is what I did. Took a fem MI-5 female and mated with the offspring of a male auto-assassin X female lemon g photo period. 90% autoflowering progeny. Named it blackbriar. It's the bud buzz lightyear has and the one not on the mason jar lid. Mason jar lid is MI-5

All but one of MI-5 that I've grown, probably 8 or 9 plants were stable, large for an auto and great yielders. I did have one limp dick 15 gram plant but I think you're gonna find that with a lot of autos sometimes the rudelaris (sp) runs a little too deep. The largest was 60ish grams, most about 35-45. The finishing time was about 9 wks seed to harvest on most of them.

DSC01022.jpgDSC01023.jpgDSC01021.jpgthanks man, pretty much the second, third and fourth set of fan leaves as I found leaving them be inhibits the cola's growth when they're trapped underneath it. By the time they wiggle around them its too late and you're in full blown flower mode. I trim when the fan leaf in question has it's own cola growing from the node and that cola appears to be well established with a couple leaves sprouting. Here are a couple pics detailing it. There are more in my journal if you want to see it done to several plants. The third pic is a plant ready to have the fan leaves cut that are blocking the colas below.

im going to have to try that. about how far in veg are they when you trim them? also do you notice any stress?

Pandora update: Pic 1 shows the purple coloration that has started to appear in this one pheno. Pic 2 shows the normal pheno. These two Pandoras were brought indoors yesterday to finish on 16/8 by Wednesday. Purple is 30" the other is 26". They make my 400W look small, lol. My workshop is being converted into a grow room again, 5'x9' veg and 9'x9' flower rooms. Happy growing!

im going to have to try that. about how far in veg are they when you trim them? also do you notice any stress?

Probably 2 weeks give or take a couple days. It really does help the plant bush out. I found if you do it too early the first two side colas can actually overgrow the top and you won't get a top nugget. I have one like that going in my garden right now. But, if you do it right you'll wind up with a monster like the caramel I have goin right now. Experiment with it man, even if you do it a bit too early and the sides overtake the top I still found I got more yield out of them as opposed to not trimming.

Didn't notice stress and don't trim all at once only when the colas from the leaf I'm about to trim are established and the one's getting blocked by the leaf in question are def getting blocked big time.

If anyone else has a preferred trimming method for autos I'm all ears. I arrived at this by trial and error but has worked well. That being said I love to experiment.

iv just ordered world of seeds Afghan Kush Ryder Autoflowering & Pakistan Ryder Autoflowering anyone got any info on them:peace:

I have 2 Afghan Kush Ryders going at the moment. Both are hardy green plants with nice branching. The buds are developing nicely now. About 5 weeks old now. I'll post an update when they get close to finishing.

Here is a short stuff blueberry Kush mixed with dinafem fruit automatic. I crossed them, got some purple phenotypes. Both were 100 percent indica just how I like it. This is 63 days. I always let mine go to 70. Getting more purple pigment in the flowers every day.

nice plant. intersted in knowing more about how you grew it: what light/veg time/ bla blabla. did any of the seeds from that cross auto flower?

Hey guys! No pics today but 1 of 3 of my autos seems to be done. Trichs are pretty much 50/50 amber on her but the others seem to be a day or so behind which is a result of my lighting. Anybody think I should turn the lights off altogether for these last few days or leave them on?

i always give my plants 3 days of dark before chopping it down ,read my journal i have some factual research there about dark period prior to harvesting

Thanks for that info. I really wish I had the ability to let one sit in dark and the other in day. I think I am going to let them sit on the light for another day or so before trying the 72 hours of dark. But I am afraid of letting them over ripe if thats possable. Any one have any advise on not letting the plants wait to long for harvest?

I went ahead and switched off the lights. Will post pics of them when I decide to pull them out. Then harvest time. Anybody make hash out of the leaves with the dry ice method? Or is their generally not enough left overs?

finally ordered some dielsel ryder seeds. i am so pumped its unreal. i really wanna try all of sagarmatha's feminized autoflowering seeds.
lol not here to slag of any seed companies but i will relate my experience with sagarmantha seeds
I bought 5 fem lowboldt seeds
4 germed and were planted outdoors took 14 weeks and got between 5 and ten grams per plant of of three
the fourth never auto'd and grew to 1.5 meters high
I cropped 250 grams of that one but the smoke was horrible and weak
I wrote an email to them saying I wasn't happy with the strain and that it was very unstable and they sent me 3 ak48 autos in a brown envelope stamped sagarmatha seeds post marked Amsterdam ok so I planted and two germinated and they were planted in july they cropped out 8 weeks later at 4g and 7g however the smoke was wickedly good
lets say I wont be using them ever again
