bought a timer couple days back, 4 n a half weeks in to flowering , n went up today n noticed the light had stayed on, i realise now that i set the light up wrong so means the 250 hps has been on 2days max continually, so wots the chance of them hermying, been told from guy at growshop to leave the light off for a day so they revert back to flower quicker, and will this have an effect on my overall yield or can i just chop off male preflowers and the rest wil grow as normal. also how many days has this roughly set me back or are we speaking a matter of weeks ?
whats the chances of these hermying,

...hey bro, I did this near exact same thing! ...the plants didn't skip a beat! ....just continue the 12/12......I didn't even have one seed!

nice 1, it was about a week ago i gave them 5 hours extra light and just the past 2/3 days the 250 has been on 24/7 so panicing a bit, will i be ok if i just cut off the male preflowers if any and will it effect my yield atol, ps got told to keep the light off a day just to gv them a rest so they revert back to flowering quicker

...nope, didn't set me back any....it was Dinafem's, Critical +...very stable, as you seen.
...I've had bananas in the very top buds, and the very lower buds.....but I've seen more male flowers towards the lower parts of the plant on hermies.

kl, av got 2 critical plus ready in a few weeks time at a m8s house so hopefully its decent smoke ?? well im jnust gona give them a day and a bit of darkness n put them rite back on to 12/12. its strawberry kush that it happened to so hopefully i spot the flowers and just snip them off, how long b4 the flowers turn in to bananas and pollinate? a few weeks i think i read

If you have male preflowers on your plant you have got to yank them out of the garden you cant just cut the preflowers off and make the plant female....If I am understanding you correctly. If your worried about hermies you wont be able to tell that until you have well defined bud structure you will see the seed being form in the glands of the buds. Sounds like you are weeks away from being able to tell that though....My advice to you would be to resume the current light cycle you are whether you are vegging or flowering....I have had power losses before in the 5th-6th week of flowering and my girls were in total darkness for more than 2 days adn they did not hermy...I think you will be fine though
ye but total darkness aint near as bad as too much light when there in flowering. myne are at 4 n a half weeks, i spoke to sum guy at the grow store n he said just to cut them off so im confused now

there is sum truth to that to much of one or the other can cause hermies, But i can assure you they will be fine if you put them back to 12/12 and leave them alone....you are flowering right?
ye m8, 4 weeks and 3 days in to flower, perhaps av been over analyzing / paranoid, hopefully theyl b sound this is my 1st proper grow at myne in a proper tent, last time i grew homemade tent with no extractor n poor temps, but this time everything getting done properly
