custom hps lighting

Ok guys I'm going to buy my first hps lighting but I'm only buying the bulb and balast .can you guys give me pics and ideas of custom hoods and or bat wings so i can set my stuff up! they do not sell hoods here in cancun. but i can buy bulbs and balasts ... the only thing the sell close to a hood would be the street reflectors,and spot light reflector in hps.

you could easily make a mock-hood out of cardboard and tape or glue mylar to it to make it reflective. just make the cardboard hood exactly how you see a regular hood and you're good

^^^^^^^^ um not saying ur stupid man but cardboard dnt sound safe to me,,if u dnt buy a hood were are you gunna get ur mogal socket for the bulb or is it in cluded i would go and get a replacement kick panel for a screen door u kno the cheap lilttle silver or black screen doors they sell just the bottom its alumminum with little pits that help form soaking up heat and geting to hot but u can get on of those for under 10 us dollars at ur homedepot or ne home emprovment store and just simply use some plumbers tape(the metal falt looking tape that dont stick that has all the holes in it) wrap it arond the socket then pull it tight to one hole and bolit it to the aluminum i have 4 of these going as we speak and have built millions for freinds so good luck i just wouldnt run ne card board less ur their with a water hose ready to put that fire out .... those bulbs get hella hot depunding on the watt i have a 250 that im damn sure would set some card board on fi9re but good luck did u ever think of hangeing it vertical and doing a vert garden just and idea

So just hang it corridor from th top penny cupboard like a regular light bulb??? But dangling and that will work???

have you ever seen a vertical grow? if not google it or hell serch on here but yeah bacically u can dangle it but most people put cool tubes around them but yeas you can...
