How Does The Rank System Work On This Site?

hey guys i joined this site a few months back but i just started really using it recently because i started my first grow. i see on the forums how different users have different ranks, example: stranger, pot smoker, etc. also how do you upload an avatar? does that come with the more posts you make?

Funny I couldn't access this forum to see the topics but I could access a topic I saw listed and reply to it...
Anyway, just earning how to use the site and I am still wondering if their is an easy way to know when someone has replied to one of my posts other than looking at the original post?

you get the diferent "ranks" by getting "like"d for your comment. in the bottom right of the comments theres a like button, if you get enough you go up a level

im not sure but i think you have to look back at your origina l post, or if you find a thread that you want to follow clickk on thread tools at the top of the page and click the bottom one that says "subscribe to this thread,

your wrong..your user ranking name changes with post count...little square boxes under change when you get rep..dont think the likes do any thing for you..for avatar go to top of page and click my rollitup.then theres options on left side of page..use theres or download your own...

my bad i always noticed it changes right after i get a bunch of like and was always on an even number of likes when i got upgraded,

Lil I like to help as many noobs as possible, but they don't know how to give rep so I get screwed. Its really just a popularity contest. Don't think a person with tons of rep and posts know what they are talking about. I see a lot of people here come for social networking and not growing, but still end up with tons of rep.
