2012 DWC Party Cup Growdown Showdown Contest​

The contest is open to anyone and will run from 1/1/2012-12/30/ 2012.

All forms of DWC systems will be allowed using Party Cups.

Contest winner will have grown the nicest & heaviest dried buds grown in an individual 18 oz DWC Party Cup. All contest participants will be able to vote for the contest winner at the end of December 2012.

Contest winner will receive 9 ten gallon drilled Under Current Totes (1 epicenter tote and 8 grow site totes).

Requierments:

18 oz Party Cup
Plant must be started from cutting or seed in the Party cup NO TRANSPLANTING.
Party cup must have an airline.
All roots must be grown within the individual party cup.
Pics of the Party Cup grow & Dried bud weight must be submitted by 12/30/2012

If there's enough interest and contestants than I'd have no problems with putting it on next year as well, maybe get a better prize for the winner.

I was thinking maybe a small airstone.. but what are you going to just fill it up with hydroton?

Dont wanna give too much away to my competitors but... I was thinking a plastic lid with a foam plug I dont even bother with hydroton anymore.. Im more concerned about getting the air in the cup without taking too much room with a stone. I keep a perpetual goin so I have ass load of rooted clones so I guess ill throw one in..

Under can you make more than one entry? or should I wait for the best one to enter..

ps. dont really care about winning or prizes I just like thinking outside the box and seeing what others can come up with.. INNOVATION!

Of corse!, All year long you can enter plants grown from 1/1/2012 on.
Personally I think I'll be doing 8 at a time.
I hear you on not filling the party cup with grow medium, I think I'm going to cut a piece of foam and use it like a E-z-cloner puck but set it on top of the party cup.

Edit: I'm going to amend the requirements to include plants must be started from clone cuttings or seeds in the party cup no transplanting allowed.

Funny thus is going on, I just started a DWC in a dickeys big. Cup!! Have airstone. And all!! Ill post a pic of it in here when I get home, or u can check it out on my link below. But I'm down!!!!

Yes we will judge only what is produced from the individual Party cup. How ever an individual can have multiple entries. If your one try turns out to be the winner than your the man! personally I'm going to have a few horses in the race.

Yes!, one party cup per plant. But you can use a control rez so your not limited to the 18 oz capacity as far as nutes go, you can RDWC the party cups you can flood and drain anything DWC.

LMAO!!

I picked up some Party cups today they now make them with a square bottom.. cool! They're also 18 oz's same as the round bottom ones.

I think i'll do 4 @ a time using the cooler as the rez with a small pump pushing nutes into the cups and have a flood and drain tube inside the cup keep the nutes at the height I want.
