basically topping will give you 2 (or more) main colas, but since the plant will be focusing so much on creating those 2 that it takes away from the smaller buds that may be towards the bottom of the plant. its just preference. you may get a slightly larger total weight when you harvest from topping correctly.

And it helps to keep an even canopy, not the usual christmas tree shape. Better light distribution= better harvest....to a certain extent.

I wouldn't top again if you are in or about to go into 12 and 12. Too much stress. I like to let it recover and get new growth again before the transition over to flowering.

I promis you will get a larger yield having two plants untopped as opposed to one plant topped. When you top it the colas dont get as large as when its not topped.

This is soo true and why I top in my closet grow. I had six plants pretty even caopy untill I flowered. Then the top colas speared up and I had to adjust the light according to the top cola, moving it away from the mojority of the plant. All the buds that were lower got less powerfull light. the more even caopy allows better light distribution to more nugs on the plant. More light equals more buds!

Try LST supercropping instead of topping to get a bunch of top growing on the same plane. No stress on the plants and you can still grow a fat little bush.

I kind of end up doing a mixture of all the above! lol! Only LST after flowering though. Gives my itching, idle hands something to do in the grow room...
