Can I check on my plants that are sleeping?

Silly me followed some advice to run lights at night. I've been running them from about 6 pm till about 6 am. This poses a problem because I'm up all day and I want to look at my plants but I cant. Any suggestions.

-My concern is to keep the temps down in the grow room...the air conditioner doesn't have to work so hard when I run the plants on at night. Since I made the switch light on temps are 79 and light off temps are about 72. When I was in Veg recently my on temps during the day were 86...running at night has made things a lot cooler and hopefully friendlier on the electric bill.

For the heat issue, your timing is great, but that sucks dude, I wouldn't want to inspect my ladies with anything other than bright light. Green would suck.

i'm in the same boat as the op after a power outage swapped my cycle. i haven't done the green light thing but i did look around with a lighter because my little bastard cat got in there lol. as long as you have some time either at the beginning or end of lights on you should be ok. and if your power company distinguishes between peak and of peak use you're getting a deal on electricity. if you really need to get in there though your best bet is a low watt green light.

Thanks for the tips. I think I"ll pass on the green light. I don't go to bed till 11 pm or 12 pm so I have 5 or 6 hours to mess with them. I'll be honest...its about a great love story. These are my first plants and I love them. During the day I think about them all the time. I only wish we could spend more time together.

Ok, I'm being silly in all this. On a positive note, my bud tender delivery service who provided me with clones brought me samples this morning from the same genetics my clones are. If my "fruit" turns out 1/2 as nice as these look, taste, and smell, I'm going to be one happy camper! Another positive note is I'm scheduled to harvest the week of Christmas!

There is no green light to go in during dark hours. I'll just be patient.

I know exactly how you feel, except I'm on a third shift schedule, so I'm up with them...but I have a hard time going to sleep thinking about them!

i go into my room about 5mins before lights on, on an odd occasion to take DARK bud shots for any journals im doing.

But then after switching to Hydro i spend a few minutes each evening testing and adjusting and once a week i spend 45mins doing a full res change. My lights switch on at 7pm off at 630am. I work till 5pm. Suits my life.

It gets easier being able to leave them alone to do their thing.

seeing them from 6-11pm should be enough... remember, if you watch them they wont grow
LOL...I beg to differ! I will look at them after a few hours and can see they have grown. Each day they look different. I feel I am watching them grow...its definatly more productive than watching water boil--
