I'd say 18.
It's a good age. Many start way before that and are fine, but I think mostly every person is more mature at 18 than at 16.
Nicotine, and joints at 18....
Unless we are talking medical patients. I don't think their should be an age restriction if a doctor signs off on it. The doctor should be able to make the decision over the state.

and everyone is still making it sound like a drug. no wonder it will never get legal!. its and herb its been here forever. it was probably used in cook everywhere all the time back in the day. add some pepper peprka basil some MJ little salt and your good. that's exactly what happened when people broke it of it BRANCH. its a tree so why does it get a special name for it's "cola"

It will never make it past the medicinal aspect (IMHO). No matter how you put it, the feds will always consider it a drug. Which it is. It is a mind/mood altering substance. It reduces pain, helps you with your appetite (when the rest of your body doesn't feel like or gets nausea). I feel it should be made just as legal or illegal to obtain as alcohol.

alright, then so are potatoes, lemon balm, chamomile, skull cap, ashwaganda ect ect they all should be consider a drug and limited to use? herbs arnt drugs you make them out to be drugs. grind 3 grams and put it in the next thing you cook. feel the body high its allot different. none existent almost if you aren't paying attention to it. but it will still help with pain. just like i put 3 grams of LB in a tea and it help my pain. still LB is not illegal or considered a drug. no point in making this thing a drug when its just like every other plant

I think it is not about whether its a drug or not, as we both determined almost everything is a drug (affects your body)
i think the matter is whether you are on your own right to smoke, drink, inject, absorb any freaking drug we want.

i 100% disagree, far to often are kids protected from life and the real effects/consequences of their choices until they are out of school in which case its no longer a learning experience, its just a path to failure. let em drink and do drugs in grade 12, Just so they can see exactly how their actions will effect various parts of their life... and learn from it BEFORE they go down a path of complete fucking hopelessness.

sweet thanks, i use my LB in tea but not often as my plants dont produce much yet. and one got water logged and is very very slow on recovering, mites wont even touch it at this point but its still living. my other is still growing very strong. once i top and root the cuttings god willing ill have allot to work with. gives it a nice taste.
17 sounds good but had a kept smoking at 15 im pretty not totally sure my grades could have been better and id be off to ECU(known big time for huge party college) or asheville or at least out of my parents place before 18

21 gets my nod. At 18 you are still trying to get your shit in one sack & smoking won't help motivate you to move into a productive life. Look around you & see if you can tell the difference in prosperity between those that smoked in high school & those that didn't in your circle of friends . . .
