Female or Not??

Are these the hairs people say I should be looking for in early stages of vegetation to confirm whether it's female or not. Are these the "hairs" i should be looking for?

Please let me know if you're sure about what it is coz it's my only real decent plant and i'm sooo hoping she's a she. Here's how she looks as a whole thing, she's gonna be 1 month in 2 days - on the 21st of October

No, those are not the 'pistils' we all want to see. I'd say it's too soon. Those that you see are just new leaves/branches growing from the node, but soon enough you will be able to tell from the base of the node.

Thanks guys...just gonna have to keep waiting...
Today is the first time i switched off the light for them. I intend to keep it off for 6 hours and then switch it back on. Till today I had always left the light on 24/7 but I was told that doing so might slow down photosyntesis :-S Is that true? Or should I be leaving the bulb on all the time like I used to?
