so little has happened in the last few days. the four widow skunk seeds that i had originally started in the paper towel method, i transferred to the germination cubes in with the humidome. when i woke up this morning, there was life. all 4 have sprouted and looking good. my first 3 that are bag seed are doing great too! its day 4 and they are all just over an inch tall and around 5/8 at the leaves. i decided to put them a little closer to the light, since the temp is the same. i also started them on 18/6 last night, for two reasons. one: this is a trial and error grow, so i just want to see how they react. so far so good. two: the temperature in the room is easiest to naturally maintain with the light off from 3pm to 9 pm, being the hottest parts of the day in my house, so if they do just fine on 18/6 and show no signs of stress or slowing then 18/6 it is.
note: also, i abandoned the damp towel on the tower fan, its just not practical. so i put the bowl of water in as you can see by the pictures. i bought a humidifier, which i am still trying to figure out how to practically apply to this application due to its size, also just because even with the bowl in the tent, if the tent is closed the humidity will get down to 23% over an hour or so. so, for now i am keeping the tent half zipped and the closet door cracked. any other ideas?
edit 2: i forgot to mention, the temps last night got down to 73F @40%rh. im thinking that the rise in humidity at night may make up for the low, 23-30% range during the day.
