Seed almost cracked...need help what to do!

I have been waiting for my seed to germinate and its been over 5 days already and right now it has a little crack opening! What can I do to make sure it fully germinates!? Its an 18 dollar seed I need your help please!

first..change the paper towel and water it is and give it another day or two...i am assuming it is in paper towel in a dish/container

if they cracked they should be good. You can wait a day or two for the root to come out, put it in a new paper towel (theres probably mold on your old one, just change it either way!) and make sure it's warm. Keeping a TV on and putting it on top will speed up germination with the heat. Alternatively you can put it in the ground now. It might take a while for it to come up still though. I always put the seeds in a cup of water for 24 hours, then into paper towel, it usually crack in 2 days total.

I would do the same as Nusky said. 18 dollars for a seed you might as well ask for the money back or start again as it will be a very slow grow. That is just me, I am picky. I bought 10 seeds for 50 and all germinated within 36 hours.

I gotta try all the answers. Its actually in a hand towel and in a Tupperware. Are you guys using a zip lock bag with the paper towel or something? I have it on top of my cable box that stays on to keep it warm :L!

yea I use a ziplock and I break air into it from my lungs, so the plant has some CO2 to use up. But if it cracked somewhat it should be good

I simply just put the seed in a cup of water over night then I put them in damp paper towel and 2 plates glass or ceramic plates work fine and put the paper towel on the plate and cover the plate with the other plate to act as a humidity dome and put it on top of the Refrigerator and it works wonders. Add water to the towel when its slight dry to dampen it again. Only damp not over water it as it will "drown"
