As far as I know, H2O2 is H2O2. It's diluted with pure water to a specific concentration. The food grade stuff is just more concentrated. The 3% at the pharmacy is for medical use, so you can be confident it's pure.
the reason i ask is that i know for a fact that the food grade has no toxic impurities hence its status as food grade...not sure about the first aid h202 but never really looked into it..

Yup. Give em a good flush with it to make sure you are saturating the soil with the H2O2.

Hope it works out for ya!

The bottle I have in front of me:

Hydroge Peroxide USP
3% solution
(topical antiseptic for minor wounds)
ingedients: Hydrogen peroxide, stabilizer, purified water.

nada for toxic ingredients.

The stabilizers listed there are not going to harm the plant, only you if you ingest it.

At the end of the day, like I mentioned before, I am only speaking from my own experience. I still have questions all the time (still looking for an answer as to whether H2O2 reduces sulfates in well water as claimed by some) but I use this stuff on a regular basis, including for the application we are discussing here, with nothing but great results. That aside, I say good for you for questioning things. There's a lot of shit info out there and I think we HAVE to question all the advice we get. So the advice I gave here is strictly from my own experience, and I am by no means the most experienced guy around.
