My friend is a very very heavy smoker and always makes fun of the weed he samples from me. I want to surprise him with a knockout strain for a heavy smoker, what do you guys recommend and from what bank?

Mr. Nice Seed's Black Widow.

Get that, and it will destroy him.

That's actually the original White Widow strand. Back in '94 Greenhouse Seed Co. developed the White Widow strain. It won 1st place in the Cannabis Cup in '95, and a ton of other awards and such...
This guy named Shantibaba from GHS co. is the guy who bred and created the strand. Shantibaba was co-owner of GHS, along with a guy named Arjan and another named Neville (Hence the Arjan and Neville's Haze strand) They used a pure brazilian sativa mother, and some south indian hybrid to make the White Widow strain. From what I've been told, no one really knows the exact origins of the mother plant...

Long story short, Shantibaba and Arjan left GHS co. in the 90's, and they took a majority of their parent plants with them.
Including the Pure Brazilian Sativa and the Indian Keralan hybrid.
Shantibaba and Arjan now have a different company called Mr. Nice Seeds, and they have all the parent plants.
They've kept both the plants alive for over 20 years now.
They still produce the original White Widow strain, just under the name Black Widow.

I'm quite the WW fan if you can't tell.
It's one of my favorite strains.
And I've found that Mr. Nice Seeds' Black Widow is the best White Widow Seeds you can buy, because it's the original strand.
Not some knock off.

From what I believe, their Medicine Man is also the original White Rhino strand.

EDIT: And also I believe they have authentic Northern Lights #5 genetics too. Another great strand, that's indica dominant and will blow your friend away.

Your Story is a little off my friend. Shanti and Neville left greenhouse and took all their mothers and fathers with them. They were the breeders and Arjan was the marketing guy. His arrogance and other things caused a rift between he and the other guys.

Also when you grow make sure your trichs are mostly amber for the knockout couchlock effect. I really dont care to smoke with anyone that complains or makes fun of something they just got for FREE!!

Some times making your own strain is the thing. Some strains that produce high THC but low strength mixed with a strain that has a very strong hit when you smoke it could make a nice little strain. If you find a strain that can offer a very strong couch lock breed it into your custom strain and there you go.

Remember not every strain is going to have every thing that a person wants in it so breeding your own strain is the only way to get what you want in a single strain.

To be a little more exact, Shantibaba was co-owner/breeder at Green House Seeds. Nevil was co-owner of Green House Coffee Shop but he also bred on his own and also with Shantibaba and his strains, along with what Shantibaba created, were all marketed under the Green House Seeds name even though Nevil was not an employee or owner of Green House Seeds.

When Shantibaba sold his share of Green House Seeds to Arjan and left, taking his genetics with him, Nevil remained a partner with Arjan in the Green House Coffee Shop for several more years until he finally could not take any more of Arjan's bull and bloated ego and he sold his share and left, also retaining his genetics.
