From what I understand, the only actual Black Widow (the original white widow) you can get is from Mr. Nice and they never feminize. This keeps their strains totally stable and prevents hermies.
Am I wrong on this?

yeah thats right black whidow is the only real true 'white widow ' and mr nice dont do female female breeding !!........................ but there are a few decent feminized seeds out there female seeds black widow has decent reviews but stills its female female breeding, its not ideal for long term mother plants ............. but sayin that its good for a quick and easy feel for a strain!! thats what i use feminized for !!! like a try before i buy !! get a few fem beans test them if i like buy a few packs of real seeds and pheno hunt

What is so funny about black widow fems ?
What is making people laugh is that if it is real Black Widow, they aren't feminized since Shantibaba has not marketed feminized seeds so far. Not all that long ago he did offer a very limited number of feminized seeds of some strains on his auction site, something of a public test, but none were released to seedbanks. If someone buys feminized Black Widow seeds they are either Positronics knockoff/fake/imitation Black Widow or a feminized F2 version of Shantibaba's Black Widow made by someone other than Shantibaba. So if feminized, they are not the Real McCoy Black Widow genetics.

Are you talking about the Mr. Nice Black Widow? I read that he is known to have created the original white widow.
This is a serious smoke once it cures properly. The best thing you can do for this strain is making sure it dries for the right amount of time, and drying for longer than usual is better than not drying enough. Err on the side of extra. Once cured then you really capture the nature of the smoke. His strain is a one hitter quitter.
Do not put the lights closer than 1 foot to the plant - check the heat output! Do this by making sure your hand can withstand the heat emanating from the heatsource for at least three minutes. If your hand can't handle three minutes of light then its too strong for the black widow.
Finally a big one here is don't over-nute! This strain is a picky b*tch that's why she's a widow. Most widow strains are not for novice growers.

Yea that's the F2. Not saying it's not black widow but if you didn't order Mr.Nice black widow than it's not black widow.... Its another's version and not Shanti's selection.

Black Widow is not a nute sensitive strain and is not a finicky strain to grow. The breeder, Shantibaba, says Black Widow is for the inexperienced grower to the most advanced grower. Shantibaba does say which strains of his line are easy to grow and which are not the easiest of strains to grow. The only, as you call them, "Widow strain" that I have known to be nute sensitive (both under and over fertilization) and finicky has been Blue Widow, and that is because of the Blueberry in it, which is well known for being nute sensitive.

Heritage: Black Widow
Category: The Naturals - Old school genetics
Family of breed: Brazilian sativa x South Indian Indica
Breeder: Shantibaba's
Preferred medium: Bio and Hydro, Indoors and outdoors/greenhouse
Expected yield: Indoors 350/450g/m2, G/h and outdoors 300/400 g/plant
Flowering period: Indoor flowering time expect approximately 8-10 weeks. Harvest date in the northern hemisphere should be by the end of Sept to the beginning of Oct and in the southern hemisphere end of March to April.
Recommendations: For the inexperienced grower to the most advanced grower... but it is all in selection.
Special Notes: Numerous growers world wide who know how to grow will have at some time or other had this plant on their grow list. The plant is vigorous and well scented not to mention it frosts up the last weeks of the flowering cycle. Highly recommended

Does this company with the Black widow ship to us and can they be trusted???

if it aint the Mr. Nice pack of beans your not gonna be getting the quality your looking for sure your breeder/bank might have grabbed some of the f1's and made some femmed f2's but if thats the case its not the same thing as the original

youll only be getting one selection of the original expressions of the f1 what ever your breeder/bank felt was the best

but if were going by breeder opinions id take the original opinion and the original f1 :D
