Small Black "Worms" on roots DWC +rep for successful identification

So I lift up the lid to my reservoir last night and noticed some small black worms/larvae on my roots. They are on Day 19 of flower after 21 days of Vegetation (from clones, not seed). I have battled, and successfully beaten spider mites (no-pest strip). The room stays between 72-78 degrees at all times, humidity caps out around 70%, usually around 60%.


Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I don't think so, the plant isn't showing any symptoms, they don't seem to be hurting anything.......yet. Plus I think leeches are usually shiny and mostly smooth.

im not familiar with leeches never seen one in real life but from what ive seen it really seems like a hungry little sucker surelly not worm but a kind of slug , test out ! get one on ur arm's underside and check what will do ... dont be afraid its just a slug anyways

They are most definitely NOT leeches. I don't know what they are, but they're not shiny, smooth, or eating much of anything. I spent the last few hours looking through any picture of a leech I could find and they didn't look anything like what is in my picture.

I have a stream behind My house and it has leeches in it like that.They are underwater right ? Put one on your arm ;-) or get one on its back and get a picture of its mouth

They won't go anywhere near the water. I was actually thinking about trying to drown them because of that fact. That was another reason I was like "wtf leeches? noooo". haha :joint:

Also, leeches don't have antennae.

Again, I'm fairly sure they're not leeches.

Edit - This photo is magnified a LOT. Notice how thick the root appears to be. These things are very small.

how long would you say they are ? has to be some kind of air born bug larva"if spelled right lol" How many are on your root's ?

Maybe a 1/4" long, the roots are normal sized roots, the plant is only 2 months old total, and it's 1/3 of the thickness of a root. I took a picture of it at normal magnification and there was no way you guys could've ID'd them, they were just vertical lines kinda. Thank you for your help, I +rep'd just for your time so far.

Nah, that guy "says" they're spring tail larvae. But if you look at the real websites (non-pot) spring tails look NOTHING like the ones in that picture. Trust me, I HATE that guy. He wasted so much of my time!

Edit - Also, the one's in his picture have no antennae.

No legs like the one you showed ohmy. My camera didn't get a better picture but under the microscope I could see them slithering around, no legs. Like a slug. But not shiny and slimy.

Looks like front, hard to tell. These things are so tiny! And they don't seem to eat much, definitely not eating my roots.....yet.
