He not necesarily bullshitting you. You can trim some nuggs off your plant early if you want, it wont really hurt anything. You dont wanna cut em off too early though because they will be immature and no where near peak potency.

Why would you want to is my question?

To smoke it? If that's the case, I wouldn't recommend it. Scrape a pipe or something if you're that desperate.

It might get you high, but it's not going to be very enjoyable.

Yeah I wanted to smoke some rhino baby, but if it's going to be a bad experience, then I'll just have toooooo wait, but I have no smoke man. Problems problems!!!!!

I'd wait at the very least 7 weeks.. but I have had to chop early, and the bud was still good weed.. not as potent as if I'd let it finish, but good smoke none the less... 6 weeks... I wouldn't.. 7 weeks, I still wouldn't unless I had to (which I did).. if you're desperate... you're desperate. Been there, done that, no shame in it as far as I'm concerned.

Well its really personal preference and depends on the strain, sativas take longer so i would say give them at least 8 weeks before you cut anything at all. An indica that was ripe in exactly 8 weeks would probably be ok to try at 6 weeks.

The more see through/clear (like lil water droplets) the trichomes are the more sativa/cerebral high you will get. As they turn more milky and eventually amber, you will go from cerebral (clear) to couchlock (amber).

Just feel it out, but the best advice i can give is to be patient.

I've cut buds from a plant in mid flower. They were pretty potent. So were the suckers. I would imagine if you've been dry for a while it would be very satisfactory until your ship comes in.

There's nothing wrong with cutting early if you need it. Just understand that every bud you take would have been fuller and stickier at harvest. It's your choice.

When it comes close to harvest I will take a bud or two and quick cure to get an idea of the high.

Thx all! Pretty solid advice, I just got to make a decision, but stay tuned I will be posting some pics soon, and I really need a pat on the back for some great work, being that this is my 1st grow (researched it for about a year and a half before I got started). Peace!
