i was watchin my friend play the beta yesterday on pc and it looks nice. my whole thing is i never really got into the tanks or planes in battlefield so i never really got into the game id just die all the time from tanks and planes while im runnin around so ima stick with mw3

I think that adds a whole new element to the aspect of tactics.

I like it because it encompasses what you would find in actual combat. Never know when a vehicle with a .50cal strapped to it or a T90 will roll up!

this is true, but im not gonna run out head first like im fuckin rambo in real life combat. i find sittin in a tank takes no skill, planes are harder to control so i can see how that would be harder, but still unfair. i like it when its skill on skill cause usually my skill is higher than the kids i play

and all this pc gamers are better blah blah will be settled when the new counter strike comes out.

That's why you get a guy who knows how to fly the jets to combat the guys in the tanks. There are also choppers that combat the tanks and are a lot harder for the jets to take out (if you have a good chopper pilot), some of those guys are INSANE pilots on those games lmao. They just rack up kills and never get shot down. People usually develop a specialty, like Engineer or Antitank, some people are GREAT snipers, just depends on what you like doing, that's another reason I like these games so much, there's literally unlimited options to play with.

Battlelog is so stupid, you have to run your browser in the background to play the game, wtf?

Beta has no vehicles, graphics are toned down(nothing like the preview trailers), no full destructible environments, no way to adjust settings until you respawn into the game(died 3 times in a row trying to bind my keys lol), no way to manually put together a squad with friends, and some other stuff I cant remember now while Im high, but it was a bit of a let down, then again, we will see how it is on release.

Wow, way to be in the minority group with your opinion of the game...lol You can't base any opinion on a dumbed down beta. From the actual gameplay trailers I've seen it's BF2 on viagra!

I can't fucking wait. I've been playing the BF series since 1942 PC and I have owned EVERY installment of the series (my fav game) So yeah I'm stoked. BF3 is going to be fucking awesome.

Rawbudski, you're full of shit bro, I've played the PC and Console, and it takes WAY more skill to be good on a console than it does on a PC. WAY MORE... It's easy to aim and click a mouse man, not so easy with a analog controller. Matter of fact I hated fps on consoles when I switched over but I conquered the change and pwn with the best.

I've had it preordered for months. I'll be on PS3. I might get a new PC though and go back to the old school days. I miss playing BF2 on PC more than anything. It will be nice to have the jets back!!

that is true pc is alot easier to control and i would rather play on a pc, but ive played mw2 on a pc with a controller and it has more lag than a console controller and gettin like 30-40 kills with like 8-15 deaths. it doesnt matter how fast the mouse is, the person has to be good with it to make it that nasty...and most kids cant do that lol

hellllll yeah...I put 40 down on it....pm me if any of you guys are gettin it for ps3!

I was skeptical about bf3, until I played the demo..... I got on the demo and got the DEFIB heals, the AMMO HERE! points.... the medic heal points... the squad bonuses!


Then the demo doesn't even have anything but the core movements and weapons.... And it's still better than any game out there right now.


JUST like BF2..... but different in a good way...




& I played PC for like 5 years, had my own computer built from scratch... then the HDD started frying, and I never wanted to replace or clean it....

ive been doing the ps3 thing for a while... i like it better.

i can borrow games, keep titles for years, keep digital downloads on my ps3 account, sell used games.... and i can also play on a 44 inch tv rather than a 26inch monitor



I do miss the graphics, and the mouse & keyboard though .... when I wasn't busting my ass to keep my pc running

The little stat points they keep are like CRACK man! That's part of what makes it so interesting! Adds another element to the game. Kind of validation of how good of a player you are. I always liked having my k/d ratio high, and it keeps you actively working on improving it, becoming a better player.

Vehicle upgrades are a new feature introduced to BF3! Heard today you earn the upgrades depending on your rank. The jets have things like flares, tanks have light machine guns, heavy machine guns and smoke canisters, etc.

I was watching some clips earlier, the destructible environments make it feel much more real, I really like the fact you can blow walls away or destroy buildings, that's awesome!

I don't think I would be able to get used to a console, get the fuck out of here thinking about sniping! Yeah right!

I actually pound some serious shit with a sniper rifle... Once you get a bead on somebody, or a position, and you don't expose yourself to more than 1 or 2 sides at a time, you can scope people out and hit them with a headshot while theyre running..


You have to remember, that folks with controllers cant turn around as insanely quickly as a player with a 2000dpi mouse and quick scope you... you dont have any macro on a controller!


on PC, the skill level is far better, you can move better, and aim better... but this is true on both sides, and it equals out...

on a ps3 its not so much like that.. They are getting better with how a fps console game handles and feels with BF3. I think it has a significant improvement with just handling a weapon and navigating an environment with a controller, moreso than other games.
