Is smoking tobacco/weed around your growing plants bad?

A lot of the people in here do not understand the difference between Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide. To think it would be of any benifit to smoke around your plants is almost a crazy an idea of it is good to clip all the fan leafs when you flip to flowering. I sure hear some crazy shit in these forums. But having a smoke every now an then in your grow room is not going to kill them either. But I would not put a lazy boy in there with a big screen tv and a pack of cigs either.

I agree...i have 3 fans....1 for an exhaust and i have an air purifier for anything airborne; kills germs, bacteria, mold spores, cigarette smoke etc.. anything 2 MICRONS and larger won't get in...which is good. I AM A SMOKER but I still don't smoke around the plants. SURE they might grow...but why take the chance + it is a poison to m.j. it's not good. i also wash my hands after smoking when handleing plants.

I think organic tobacco smoke in small amounts is helpful to the plant by delivering co2 . I've noticed my plant is greener and bigger than previous plants I've grown of the same strain in the same settings. Could just be a fluke but it's just what I've noticed. And I don't intentionally blow smoke at it for any other reason but it's outside my window and I smoke out the said window. I wouldn't do it if I didn't smoke 100% non additive organic cigarettes.

Tobacco causes cancer and stinks. Of cause its bad to smoke it around your plants, anyone else or by yourself.

I wouldn't let anyone in my room with a cig.
I use to paint houses and all the tars from cig smokers accumulate on the walls. Sticky and gross.
I cant imagine its good for the stomata.
I could imagine the smoke actually triggering the stomota to close at least temporarily. Just guessing on that though. Google forest fire and stomata.
However the plant life is so short that a few joints here and there aren't going to build up enough to really matter.
Cigs and stale smoke stink like shit though so there is that.
I went through great pains to vent my room with proper air, temp, humidity etc
No way would I go out of my way to fill it with any kind of smoke.

- I've always heard that tobacco smoking around plants kills from all the toxins in the stuff. And when you smoke it get on your hands so if you touch your plants with cigarette hands it's also said to be bad for them.
- As for smoking weed, I've never heard anything bad about it. Maybe the plants can smell their sisters being burned so they get scared??
