Hi I'm gona be using an connoisseur in soil I also have the bud candy bud ignitor big bud and overdrive and was just wondering if any one has used any of these and if you went with the nutrient calculator. Because it's got certain hobby levels on it and all my stuff is from different levels. I dunno if to go with the calculator or not can anyone help????? Thanks

I fort it was strong stuff it says on the calculator to use 4ml per litre from start to finish swell as starting with the bud ignitor seems alot to me

ya I used to use sensi bloom and their calculator is off.. If you use that much you will fry your ladies.. I have called AN many times and to be honest I don't think they know WTF they are talking about.. Another thing about an is that they want you to buy their whole line up just to have a complete nutrient. BS if you ask me. Don't get me wrong they do make good food but I think you can get the same results with a less expensive food. Do you have a PPM meter?

I used to start with around 900-1000 ppm by midflowering i was up to like 2000 ppm but my ladies are greedy bitch's, are you in soil? Sorry just read ur fist post and yes you are in soil. AN is gonna tell you to ph your water to like 6.2.. That is too low, its gonna make your soil acidic which will eventually cause lockouts. I would keep your water ph'd to around 7 and if possible add some extra dolomite lime to your soil to keep a stable ph. I have tested an food starting with a waters ph of around 8.5 and after adding food it went down to like 5.8 which is tooooo low. Over all AN makes very good products, its it worth like 80 bucks a quart ...NOPE but since you have it already mine as well see how it works for you.. you might end up loving it

Hi isn't 2000 ppm very high last time I did 6 uk cheese under a 600w light and got 12 oz. But I only took the ppm up to about 1200. Isn't 2000 took high?? I'm confused I fort 1200 was high haha

yes 2000 ppm is VERY HIGH and don't recommend that you take it that high. My ladies are big eaters and they can handle it. If I was you, especially with CON, I probably wouldn't go above 1400-1500 ppm. But just remember to start lower. Are you new to growing?

I've done abit over the last couple of years and alot of reading I wouldnt take it Past 1400 myself n e way thanks for the info anything you tell me to improve on my yield I have 15 cheese 3 weeks in just turned 12.12 with 3 cooltube 600w in a 12 by 12 foot room with plenty of air circulation

First up, the calculator is set up for hydroponics. Not soil.

So if you follow that in soil you're definitely going to have problems.

Second, there's nothing wrong with the nutrition of AN's base nutes. I've used the base nutes by themselves and never had a problem nutritionally. And there's also nothing wrong with the guys at their tech support either. If you want to find problems you always can.


Always, always, always start any new nutrient program at well below the listed concentration. Always.

Using Conni, Bud Candy, Bud Ignitor, Big Bud, and Overdrive in soil should be simple. You'll feed every other watering (between plain water waterings) and start at 1/2 to 3/4 strength. If they plants look good and you think they can handle more, scale up the feedings very slowly, but don't feed twice in a row - always feed once with plain water for every feeding with nutrients. Just follow the instructions on the bottle or on the calculator, whichever is lower since it's always better to err on the side of underfeeding than overfeeding.

I have to disagree with you guys on this one. 500ppm is extremely low. I use Connoisseur and also have grown the Cheese strain several times in the last 2 years as I have 2 moms of her. I veg for 4-5 weeks so when I switch to flower I usually start with 900-1000ppm and push it to 1600ppm with Cheese. Other strains I have grown can only handle up to 1200-1400ppm and some can take up to 1800-1900ppm.

The key to any strain that you are growing is to try and dial your nutrients in over 2-3 cycles. The first cycle you try and feed her on the lighter side and keep a log of your weekly ppms. Then the second cycle you push her with 100-200ppm more per week. Pay attention for any nute burn. If you have burn in any week then you know that by the 3rd cycle you need to back that week off a little. If you don't have burn then you know you can push it a little more the next cycle. Increasing the ppm in small amounts will only slightly burn the tips of your plants when you have reached her limit. Then just back off 50-100ppm and you know where her limits are for that week.

Yeah i wouldn't go much higher than 1400 with what your running. And flush at first sight of trouble. Im running the sensi 2 part and i dont think I've ever went over 1200.

im probably one of the few people who agrees with LOSTCOASTLOCAL here. im not even using conni yet im using the 2 part and i just burned some plants at 400 ppm. if this is happening now imagine when i switch to conni in aero

LOSTCOASTLOCAL i need to know are you talkin about ec x 500 on the 300 ppm? hmm probably wont get a response i see you havent been here in a while
