600w Auto Hempy: Russian Rocket Fuel, Onyx, & Snowryder

I harvested the russian yesterday so I will have a final weight to you in the next few days....but I got about 66 grams wet so probably around 20 grams dry...not what I was hoping for but like I said from the beginning these plants were stunted compared to my soil grow last go around. I was hoping for 1.5 to 2 oz per plant this time as I got a little over an O per plant last time off of my russians, but it sadly wasn't to be this time:sad:....But the bud is still really dank!:-P

So Snowryder #1 is done drying and has begun its cure...and right now it still just smells like plant, but a week in the jar will change that. But as for the smoke...AWESOME. Like I said I harvested this plant about a week too early. Therefore it never finished fattening up and I got 16 grams of dry bud from 60 grams wet. But the early harvest made for some great daytime smoking bud. High in THC and low on the CBD...gives me an incredible, almost visual head high for the first 10 minutes. The overall buzz is very uplifting and doesn't leave you sluggish, but the effects are a little shorter lasting than the couchlock stone you get from more mature buds. So its great for a student/pothead like myself who likes to smoke during the day but actually has to be able to funtion during the day. ;-)

On a side note, the Russian has been drying for 2 days now so I'll have a weight on that by Tuesday night. As my last post said I got 66 grams wet, and its more dense than the snowryder so I'm hoping it will have a better wet/dry ratio and hopefully give me about 20 grams dry.

-PEACE-

So all 5 plants have been chopped now and all the bud is super dank, but the snowryder runt and Onyx #2 are still drying, so I will post a full smoke report for all 3 strains in the next couple days.

As for weight, so far Snowryder #1, Russian Rocket Fuel, and Onyx #3 have finished drying.

Snowryder #1- 60 grams wet, 16 grams dry.
Russian Rocket Fuel- 66 grams wet, 18.4 grams dry
Onyx #3- 56 grams wet, 15.3 grams dry

so with these 3 plants I pulled about 50 grams of very dank buds... here's some pics...

enjoy...

Wow very nice grow. I'm itching my head at the though of what my one auto might give in weight and also how many more weeks does she have left. Do you have an estimate? Day 70 BCN Auto.

It depends. How tall is the plant? and what type of light? and is it in soil or hydro?

From my experience you should pull about an ounce per plant from autos, but if done right I've seen much larger yields, and if done wrong (like I did...I stunted mine with transplanting and hempy buckets) you might only get a quarter to a half ounce per plant.

Your plant looks really nice, I'm not familiar with the strain, but it seems very dank. Judging by your photos I'd say you've got the plant pretty healthy and in good conditions, but without a picture of the full plant and knowing how tall/what light I can't really give you an answer.

My autoflowers on my last grow were about 26 inches tall and yielded 2.25 oz from 2 plants...

This time around my plants were only about 16 inches tall and so far are yielding just over a half oz per plant...

so it really depends on the size of the plant and the light that you're using.

Also I just noticed that you said that you're on day 70. I'm guessing that this is the plants age from seed and not its days flowering correct? 10 weeks flowering for an auto seems excessive, some regular haze strains finish in less than 10 weeks so I'll assume thats the plants age from seed

I'm not familiar with BCN but it appears that it must be a slower sexing and slower flowering strain as my plants all claim 70 days from seed to harvest and lived up to that promise. You're plant seems like it has about another 2 weeks to go, its still covered in fresh new white hairs and I can tell from the pictures that the calaxyes aren't even close to swollen yet. But it sure does look good.

Very nice job with your ladies dude! I am eagerly awaiting the smoke report before I place a new order. :weed: I haven't decided between Short Stuff's Onyx, Mi5, or Russian Rocket Fuel and your journal has been a great help. I've ruled out the Mi5 as it seems to have problems with mold (outdoor grower below the 30th). I grew Blue Himalaya this year and though yields are an issue, SS's plants can take the heat, so I am looking forward to trying another of their strains.

Smoke one for me!

Well I'll tel you that after growing the russian rocket fuel twice it is hands down my favorite. Great yields, best smell, and my favorite smoke by far. Very fruity aroma with a nice diesel overtone. And when the plant is flowering the smell is strongly diesel with a slightly fruit overtone. Great crystal production and very pretty nuggets. All around a great strain that if I ever mess around with autos again I will surely be using. Its a no brainer for me...Onyx was nice, good yields and solid smoke, but just not as appealing to me as the Russian and the plants genetics seemed to be a little less stable. I was supposed to get 5 free MI5 seeds with my order but they gave me 5 more onyx instead so I haven't had the chance to try that one, but it looks very similar to onyx
