In england its very rare you get locked up for growin but they love to fuck your shit up in front of u to try a deter you from growin again lol i know of a few lads that av been caught with there pants down and walked with a few hundred pound fines!! but it also depends on wot u were caught with imo

Wanna here the stupidest shit ever that i seen a cop say?I was watching cops on tv and this Asian guy shot some bullets in the sky so police herd the shots and went to the guys house.They searched his house found a ak47 and a little film bottle filled with weed.Two cops open the film bottle and kept saying WOW this weed is the strongest weed i ever smelled,they couldn't get over the smell.So when they were arresting the guy the cops were telling the guy you know i could charge your for a pound of marijuana because of such a high potency your marijuana has lol.The cop goes on in tells him you are lucky ima give you a break.That was some stupid ass shit what that cop said lol it was no more then a 8th of bud and said he could charge him with a pound lmao.

yup! about 8 years ago i was arrested for manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, a 4 year felony.
back when i was younger and dumber i sold a bag to some fat bitch that was a friend of a friend and she was wearing a wire. 6 months later a cop comes to my house and arrests me and brings me to the station to finger print me and process me as i wait for bail which they probably didnt think i would come up with cause for some fucked reason it was $20,000 which usually the let you pay 10% but $2,000 is still a lot of money. i talked to the guy in charge of the bust to get any info i could and read the police report. i acted like i was going to help him out and he gave me a pager number, but really i wanted to grab a pen off his desk and jack that faggot in the eye with it. anyways i never did see the jail and they let me free. i quit smoking for 4 months in fear of getting drug tested but they never even tested me once. although i did get in trouble for selling, not using. this was also before medical laws in Michigan. i plead guilty cause after reading the police report their was no way out. i got sentenced to 80 hours community service in lieu of 10 days jail, drug counseling, mental health counseling, 1 year probation, and some small fines including paying the cops back for the bag i sold them. they let me off on conditional release or what we call a 74-11 around here. not all states have it but mi does. its pretty much for first time offenders getting caught smoking. if you complete your shit, you have no criminal record except a private record at the courthouse so you cant get a 74-11 twice. the prosecutor advised against doing this, but the judge did anyway since i have no criminal history whatsoever. got lucky that time and never been in trouble since except minor things like noise complaints and fighting but never really got in trouble for them. another thing that helped me was i had a real good lawyer. he was actually court appointed, but my parents knew the person at the courthouse that appoints the lawyers so she made sure i got the best. i even met some new friends doing community service so it worked out pretty good. the guy i did community service for thought i did such a good job cleaning, he wanted me to work for him when i was done. im medical now and much more careful. dont sell to people without cards, make sure to stay within your state law. stay safe!

That's almost as good as a case I read about where the prosecutor brought in as evidence an entire plant, fan leaves, stem and all
and tried to say the grower was over their "legal" weight limit.
This was in one of the medical marijuana states, where law enforcement are slooow to adapt, and have yet to learn how to step out of the 1960's mentality.
That case was thrown out by the judge.

I know a guy who was caught with a half pound of bud all bagged into quarters, and four one ounce bags of mushrooms locked in the trunk of his car. When the cops asked, he opened it for them and was charged with all sorts of shit. He was out the next day (4 months ago) and he won't go to jail for any of it. (must be a rat right?)

lol. not quite.
i was in college and had been dealing at a place for a couple of years. pot, coke, shrooms, whatever. a friend from the military moved in when he got out. i was quiet in my dealing and kept a low profile. he was a party, very friendly he liked to play mr drug dealer. i was fine with this and i let him sell my dope like it was his.
one day, the cops flow into the house while another friend and i are setting up an aquarium. turns out a newer coke customer of his got popped and decided to roll over on us.
i lied to one cop and told him i didn't live there. another cop saw my driver's licence, which had this places address. i told him i used to live there but not anymore. the guy setting up the aquarium said he was from a shop and him and i were there to set up the tank and would they please unhandcuff us so we could leave.
they let me and the other friend walk out. as i was walking out i was thinking, are they going to shoot me? WTF? seriously, i'm walking away?
once the cops found out they let me go, they told my ex roommate to tell me to turn myself in. they were pissed! my lawyer said fuck that, if they want you they'll come get you. i was basically hiding for a couple of months and they never came and my ex roomie spent 3 years in a country club type prison due to the tons of money his dad spent on the good lawyer. i never sold to this one guy, so i guess i lucked out (thank you lord!!!!!!)
i have a few more, I CAN"T BELIEVE I ESCAPED from that, moments but that's for another time!
OH, and i got busted for selling pot while in High school and i walked because i joined the military!

the having no criminal record to begin with only helps if you cop a plea and get a lighter sentence..money always helps..the better the attorney the more cash is needed..the best attorneys play golf and tennis and are friendly with the judges and states attorneys...

sounds like your friend got fucked by his attorney... a country club prison has got to be federal and min security, because no state prisons i am aware of are country clubs...so are you saying the feds were the agency who conducted the raid?..a high price attorney from daddy should have been drug rehab and a 1420 probation,no time..a shitty public defender could have cut a 3 year sentence and saved the old man alot of $$
