I'm looking on websites and I see hundreds of different strains all claiming to be the best and so on, I was wondered what was the actual best for a first time grower.
And what would the deference between automatic and normal seeds be? I'm willing to buy automatic if it'll help.

Nirvana Northern Lights. Easy to grow. Very forgiving. Potent smoke. Decent yield and takes a lot of abuse. I always recommend this strain first. That way you can figure everything out and make mistakes without dire consequences. My first grow was northern lights and I used miracle grow ferts and soil (I was sooo ignorant about growing). Turned out a decent yield with some damn good smoke.

Ah great! Are you suggesting I shouldnt use soil? What should I use insted of soil?
And do you know the difference between automatic and normal please?
One more thing, How long would I leave it in 24/7 light before turning it to 12-12 to flower and what neuts?

Nirvana Bubblecious seems to be good too, great yield, good smoke and easy to grow.
I'll take a look at that too now, tyvm!

the last bag you had seeds in

autos I've found to be easier than most - Short Stuff Snow-Ryder and Auto-Assassin, Sweet Seeds - Sweet Caramel, Sagmanthra - Smurfberry. Typically any indica dominant plant will be easier to grow than a sativa dom. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info hoss. I understand auto is easier but in what way? What would it stop me having to do extra?

I now exclusively grow autoflowers. They have a shorter life cycle, this alone helps reduce x-factors that could fuck up a longer photo-period grow. You also won't have to adhere to a strict light regimine like you do with photo period plants. You'll want to give them at least 18 hours a day or more but if for some reason the light cycle gets fucked up your plants won't herm on you. Also autos are bred by introducing ruderalis strains into quality indica (mostly) and sativa (hard to accomplish) strains. Ruderlaris - or ditch weed - is known to grow in almost any circumstances. It is hearty as all get up, in most cases their autoflowering hybrid cousins share this hearty trait. I've grown every strain from Short Stuff - they all kick ass except for the super cali haze - it is almost impossible to grow.

pretty well any kind of autoflower. autos are like fool proof plants. very easy. skunk crosses are great for beginners too. do some research! strain hunting is a lot of fun.

northern lights crosses are good starter strains , same with skunks ..there simple, take alota nutes and they produce nicely

nl x skunk is one of the best for that IMO

No I'm saying you shouldn't use miracle grow unless you have to. :p

If you're referring to auto-flower then that mean you have a strain that is cross bred with a ruderalis (normally used for hemp). Which means the plant will flower on it's own regardless of light cycles at around 3 weeks..

I wouldn't go 24/7 light unless you know exactly what you're doing. It's not something I do. The more you stress your plant the more likely you'll end up with a male or hermie. Regardless of what "experienced" growers tell you, plants need a dark period. All you're doing is wasting electricity and money. Not to mention keeping the lights on all the time will keep your temperatures up and humidity down.

I agree been growing for 5 years first couple I did 24/7 in veg and then did 18/6. Not a difference in both, cept the savings on running the lights for 6 hours.
this is why i like this site..... read a thread for one thing, learn 3 more things along the way

Most beginners find indicas easier than sativas as they need less light, stay tighter and can usually take the exessive nutes beginners like to give. Saying not to use miracle grow is not the same thing as saying dont use soil. Dont useiracle grow.

Hey guys, thank you so much for all your advice! It has been so helpful thank you very much!

I was thinking of getting these,
http://www.justfeminized.com/advanced-seeds---sweet-dwarf-automatic-feminized-3-seeds-pack-4849-p.asp

Any one grown them before and is the yield really as much as 400 grams?
As for the yield YOU will get with your grow, I wouldn't pay attention to the actual number, as you'll be unlikely to reproduce the same conditions they grew theirs in. A lot of variables come into play with the actual yield you get.

Will look into that now as someone suggested to grow that on one of the first posts saying it's quite tolerant, thank you very much :)

Ah right ok thanks for that I always wondered how much of it was true. Some plats say 700grams per plant that's alot of green off one plant lol always wondered if they was telling the truth or not :p

growing autoflowers is cheating man.... its like hunting at a farm. Its basically foolproof...well, not completely, you still have to grow it, you just dont need as much skill... but i guess it could be a good intro to growing...like training wheels.
