Male vs Female. How long to tell? (pics)

These plants are all about the same age. 2 are long and strechy barely any leaves, but also the least developed in height and leaf size.

Here are my 2 biggest both 2 weeks old from sprouting. Both put into 12/12 after 1.2 weeks (7-10 days) of veg. They are very large for there age and look extremely health. Anyone know when I should be expecting?

How big do you think they will get with 12 hours of sunlight? And how long till i know what they are? (a guess is even helpful..)

At 18 hrs you can usually tell around 5 to 6 weeks if you look very carefully. After going to 12/12 it's about 2 weeks till you can see flowers.
I'm not much of an indoor guy but that's my limited experience.

This is the outdoor section. There is an enormous amount of info in the indoor section that will keep you busy reading for hours.

Fersure. They were actually inside under cfls for 7-10 days. Then for the last 4-5 days they have been sitting in the sun 12/12 and holy shit did they jump. I am hoping I see something in the next few days to week.

As for how old it is. Does anyone think this is healthy and a fast grower for only a two weeks?

Usually a male plant will grow to be taller and skinnier. "maybe NOT ALWAYS" and females usually stay shorter.

This way when his pollen pops it'll fall down onto the girls like a money shot.

From your first pics just looking and giving my opinion they looked lady like to me. But hey I could be wrong.

Just remember the #1 rule...... patience is a must

lol you think iI'd be posting god damn pics if there were any nodes homie.... The question is, how long does it take to show pre-flowers. I know what nodes look like. My sour diesel is flowering as we speak...

I look at em daily.
Nodes are the branches of new growth homie. That is where you will see preflowers forming. Usually soon after the nodes begin to alternate (not branch out exactly across from each other) you will see preflowers. Your plants are too young to sex anyway. Byron as just trying to help by asking for pics.

Most strains require about six weeks or six nodes to reach sexual maturity. Watch the nodes for flowers once the sixth node appears.

They look like female to me too, I am checking everyday, but those plants are my biggest, the other 3 (not including the sour diesel, already flowering) are even smaller hahah. But the last two are the smallest with leaves, and the tallest in height, like they shot out of the ground about 3-5 inches when they first popped out of the ground.

I am going to keep one male, to pollinate the sour diesel, so I can get some non-sensimilla buds.

Does anyone know if this is a good idea? grand daddy purple x sour diesel (if thats how it works).. What week of flowering should I do this at for the most developed seeds?

I realized I mixed up my vocabulary, and I will post some pictures of the inner plant (even though they might be shitty quality...). I also realize what alternating branches are and that has started happening, but the nodes have not appeared. I realize they might be too young to sex, but after 2 weeks in 12/12 u should see signs of sex.

Quick question (sorry for double post, I am sick and did not realize I just posted something): Do male plants grow the side branches that grow upward (usually the branches that grow nugs on the side stalk). I am guessing they do, except they have seeds branching out on them.

One more time....

Except for autoflowering strains, MOST CANNABIS PLANTS MUST BE SIX WEEKS OLD OR PRODUCING ITS SIXTH NODE BEFORE THEY REACH SEXUAL MATURITY.

The OP said they are two weeks old.

When starting seeds, I usually leave my lights on 12/12 from day one, ensuring that the young plants will produce flowers, ASAP. Regardless, it still takes 6 weeks.

They are 20-21 days old. (now) 15 inches tall now, and they have about 15 nodes. and if you are refering to my username it is no grow OP it is growop, I do not think I am an op.

They are also half males... I am pissed off and I just ordered feminized seeds for next season.

Forgot to add, the best way to grow from spout, is 24 hour lighting. These plants do not need darkness when they are this size. If you do it this way, not only will you have larger flowers but you will have a larger plant. I have never really tried 12/12 from start, but scientifically they will grow faster with non-stop photosynthesis.
