do religious dreams have meaning?

i am not a christian, nor do i belong to any religion, but i had a very relgious dream.... i told my friend who is in the seminary about my dream, and he said it might be a sign...

Well, of course your RELIGIOUS friend is going to say it's a sign of something RELIGIOUS. We really don't know much about dreams, or what their function is. It is not just humans that dream, many other creatures do and I don't think god is trying to put them on the righteous path...

fair enough, i dont think dreams really have a meaning in that sense of the word as well.
what makes a dream religious compared to a non religious dream though? to be a religious dream it must be religious in nature meaning that someone must think its religious in meaning, otherwise it wouldnt be a religious dream.

lol it was a fucked up dream, the world had become evil, and god hid me from the world for a while. then, i had to come back and die. so that the world would be reborn. so my mom killed me with a horn. and as i was dying i tried to show my sister that god was real.

Sounds like you may be the second coming of the messiah. Did your mom kill you with a audible horn or an animal's horn?

No dreams have no meaning, they have a purpose though. Your mind is subconsciously answering questions you had locked in your head throughout the day.

Your life is moving in a direction that you don't want it to.(the world has become evil)

Take some time to figure out what it is you need and stop focusing on what others want.(god hid me from the world)

You know deep inside that YOU need to make the change in order to move your life in the direction you want it to go. Based on the "death" aspect of it, it probably means you need to stop or end something.(I had to come back and die so the world would be reborn)

ummmm...Your mother gave you some advice that you deeply know is correct or partially correct? This one could just be nothing, one of those weird dream things (my mother killed me with a horn)

is your sister making bad choices or causing some of the issues that you are working on?(as I was dying I tried to show my sister god was real)

Dreams, divination, visions, etc. almost never tell us things we don't already know, but they will cut through the crap and get to the bottom of things like truths that we don't want to hear or don't want to accept.
