Hydro Feeding

i heard some where i cant remember where that i should feed my plants 3 times a day for 15 mins a time. I have been doing this for around 3 weeks and its working fine. But my question is :

Should the 3 times they feed be in light hours only?

i remember someone mentioning that plants dont feed at night (when the lights are off)

It doesnt matter when you feed. The plants actually uptake most of their nutes in the dark. When the lights are on, they are doing photosynthesis creating sugars and then use them when its dark. Thats what I read in an old grow book anyways.

I feed 3 times wile the light is on and that is all and it works

Depends on your exact system and conditions in your grow area. The main idea is to supply a good balance of water/food and oxygen to the roots. In basically every system except DWC you water till wet then let dry and repeat.

Makes sense that they spend day light hours creating and storing food during the light hours to use it in the dark period to put on more growth.
