So im running a titan Co2 regulator to add Co2 to the garden.I have been looking to get a controler or something like it to keep at rite ppm's. I was thinking of the titan atlas 1 controller untill i got the new book and see there is the atlas 5 portable Co2 monitor now. Im looking to get the best unit for the money and the atlas 1 is $600 and the atlas 5 is $250 and has more functions but im not sure if its going to do what i need. Can someone that has worked w the titan line up please help? Im thinking the atlas 1 will stop Co2 at set level and the atlas 5 just reads the level??idk.....
 
Man I dont want to rain on anyones parade but C02 is a waste unless you have 100 PERCENT! sealed room.

I just looked up botht he atlas 5 and 6.... Man it depends on your room. You could definitely get by with the atlas 5 and the 6 is nice. Ive been using a CAP c02 controller for years and they are pretty much a novelty item IMO
 
IMO...O2 works great even with a few leaks....just try and seal it the best you can..Anything indoors has a lower amount of CO2 than outdoors.i use it and i have a few leaks....im assuming. The controller depends on what you'll control...Ac? heater? the more environmental controll tools you have means ti upgrade your controller. mine was stolen and I've been running a timer..works just as well if you calculate it properly.

I'm using the Atlas 1 and I love it. Its just a controller but it's plug and play and very easy to use. Plus Marty @ Titan will take all your calls and help you if you need be he basically designed the Atlas controllers. And yes the Atlas was 600 dollars but now I know why.
 
marty is the shit huh!! He has helped me b4. I see a huge improvement and its got leaks. thats why i just want it too run to the rite ppm. i adjusted it and did a syringe test then again in 1 hour to get it set close but i want to have it rite and not be wasting...CO2 KICKS ASS!!!!!!imo that is.lol
 
i forgot to add that the reg is timed by an apollo 2 cycle timer so i should be able to use the atlas 6 and adj on the timer huh??

basically because you will lose the C02 to room air exchange. C02 is indeed C02 until changed to something else but if you cant keep it in the room it doesnt matter. Shrug its fun to fuck with if anything else.

I think your way off on this one. Co2 is much heavier than air and floats along the ground. You wouldn't be able to really use it indoors without the natural drafts that exist in houses and buildings. And since it is actually really cheap, your advice doesn't make much sense given it actually speeds up the grow quite a bit as well as making the girls more robust.

Nope your talking right past each other.
yes c02 is heavy but if you don't have enough air movement in your room you're on the fail boat already, should be plenty of movement to push it up and down and all around.
If the room isn't sealed the molecules want go to equilibrium and will attempt to even out the c02 levels in the surrounding ATTACHED space as fast as the air flow will let them.
C02 contracts are anything but cheap in the long run. Shit my "area" has a natural level of around 1100 ppm and I ran a 20lb tank out in less then a week in a sealed space.

Nah, I've filled hundreds of cylinders bro. It is heavier and moves slower than you think. Any new restaurant Co2 hookup in America is outdoors for that very reason partner! It is a low pressure/slow moving gas. You don't need to seal anything...it is dangerous to do so! People have died in those little Co2 closets with the door open becuase of leaks. You can die standing next to an open cylinder outdoors if the weather is right!

Not sure where you live or what size room you're talking about, but in America that sh!t is plentiful and to try and save every little Co2 molecule for the ladies is quite ignorant in my opinion. Better to be safe than sorry.

Whether you know it or not, you're giving bad/dangerous advice.

If your flower room isn't a damn wind tunnel you are failing at indoor.

Well, Mr everyone knows you have to blow Co2 into the plant leaves directly or your on the fail boat. I have it in over 200 sq ft and bars are usually over thousands. Droping it from the top of a zipped up tent works really well and last a really long time. But hey, you're making awesome sense with the whole it has to be sealed and a wind tunnel. Good luck finding any official "seal up a room that you are going to be working in and blow Co2 into it" information. LOL

Why do I get the feeling you're growing in your momma's basement?

no its not. stop saying that. people try their best getting room sealed. not perfect but close. any added co2 is great for plants.
