So, I was just taking a bowl from Mr. Canada (pic is located at bottom of post) and it donned on me.. what kind of lighter is the best for smoking pot? I have tried many different ways, including (but not limited to) bic lighters, torch lighters, matches, firewood...

What kind ways have you found to work the best?
What has been your favorite?
Which lighter is scientifically better than the rest?

I like bic just cause you can get 5 packs cheap. I like the red and orange, those are the ones I use first. Scripto is good too but doesn't come in packs so I don't buy em. Doesn't really matter either way if you use hemp line to smoke like I do though

i usually just use a regular bic or w/e i've got laying around at the time, but i do know that a lot of peps love their hemp wicks and or herb irons as well..
the herb irons look sweet for sure, nothing but pure bud taste..

I've kinda noticed how everybody seems to like using BIC's.. You don't find many people using Zippos or anything

I have a yin yang zippo that I light my cigs with, they just arent as practical for smoking out of a piece.
zippo sells pipe lighters with a big hole in the chimney for lighting big pipe bowls but I wouldn't really want to spend money on one.

As far as smoking bud goes, I just use a bic... I'm not a hemp wick/herb iron type of smoker.

They sound cool and everything but flicking a bic and lighting the bowl just seems like the easiest option

bics are sturdy yet cheap and seem to last longer than most other lighters.

Yeah, my friend Bubbles showed me the retard bar. Man they work like a charm with that safety off. I have found that my mini torch works like a champ but it burns the fuck out of the weed. Works really well with hash or just the thc collected from the bottom of my buster.

I have an old style pipe that I picked up from the flea market when I was in Rome for 3 months over winter. So lighting the thumb on fire is kinda difficult for me. But I do work in a kitchen with hot shit EVERYWHERE and I can guarantee you that I gotten quite a few burns which wern't the most pleasant.

yeah one of my first jobs was a cook at an outback steakhouse, you usually end up going home with a new small blister or two by the end of the night. you just get so used to it that it doesn't hurt anymore and when you notice a couple blisters you're like "hmm.. must have got burnt a couple times"

Worst part is im not even a cook. Just a server. But I get scolding hot trays of food handed to me directly from the oven. Gotta transfer all that food to the heat table (which is also very hot in some spots..go figure eh..) So every now and then I get myself a decent burn.
