Any NORMAL human population displays a RANGE of sexual behaviors. It's instructive to look at our genetically similar cousins who follow the same pattern. We're smart animals. We try shit out. Certain behaviors could be plotted as widely variant from the norm - such as fucking corpses, or copraphilia, which presumably occur with extremely low frequency in a large population. Homosexual behavior seems a constant, across different human and even non-human populations, something like 5% I think, I can't be bothered to google it. Other cultures have dealt with it in different ways, until recently ours went the Victorian route of denial, with a wink and a nod to the local priest, the church being a traditional bastion of closeted homosexuality. But it's really the height of ignorance to persecute it or label it aberrant; it would be like all the taller and mid-sized people in a group deciding short people are abnormal and treating them differently as a result.

It's a fair argument. I still see a distinction between the tall/short and straight/homosexual comparisons. Being short wouldn't be considered abnormal because it doesn't subvert (strong word I know) nature's intent. The entire reason men have sperm and sexual desire is to procreate, not for pleasure, that's a happy bonus. Same thing applies to women, producing eggs and embedded sexual desire are in place for the sole purpose of procreation. So when an aberration in human behavior directly negates the entire purpose that nature has provided for, I think it's fair to call it abnormal behavior.

I certainly don't think they should be ostracized or punished for that behavior, but I can't change the terminology because a bunch of religious zealots might use it to condemn them. That's between the zealots and the gay community, those of us in neither camp should condemn the zealots as hypocritical bullies and correct the homosexuals when they use political correctness to redefine "normal" as an understandable attempt to defend themselves against the bullies.

I don't marginalize what the homosexuals are up against, I support them in their fight to be accepted. But appeal to me on the basis that you exist and have a right to live as you see fit and I will fight for that right. Where you lose me is the moment the ugliness of political correctness and all the upside down arguments that seem to accompany it start.

sperm were never meant to end up in a kleenex tissue, so by that definition, masturbation is abnormal, which means 99.9% of all men have abnormal behavior.
