having read the koran, i found it just a bit more hateful than the old testament and much worse than the new. attaining sexual gratification through deviant practices is the very meaning of the term "perversion". as a long time deviant myself, though not in that particular vein, i can attest to the fact that there are many things in this world that society shies away from and labels as deviant. those who try to mainstream deviance are attempting to demolish the social norm and should expect some derision for that audacity. simply insulting someone is not an act of hatred. whether the affront is real or imagined, we have no inherent right to not be offended.

Islam instructs husbands to beat their wives. Islam says to "strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers". Islam says to not make friends with Christians or Jews. Islam says that a person is not a complete human until they believe in Allah. That is hateful and has nothing to do with me.
It is my opinion that homosexuality is perversion. That does not make me hate anyone any more than if I say that a drunk is not someone I want instructing my children on how to live their life.
It's also not my responsibility to make sure someone isn't offended by my opinions. That's their problem, not mine. No one has the right to not be offended in this country. Get over it and cease with the crap. Give us some substance.

Christians do not live under Old Testament law. People who are ignorant of Christianity continually turn to the OT to substantiate their claims. The example I gave is valid. It is my decision on who I permit to teach my children, not yours or the state. Everyone in this country has the same rights whether they are queer or not. You're a little confused there, kid.

perversion is gaining sexual gratification through deviant means. deviance is anything that "deviates" or departs from the social norm. so yes, homosexuals would have to be seen as sexual deviants. whatever connotations you may take away from that statement are your own problem. i don't see exactly what rights i'm trying to take away from anyone. it would be the adherents to your own agenda that seem to be intent on limiting the freedom of choice of the average citizen.
i have no intention of starting some battle of which mythology is worse with you. we could be here for years and end only in agreeing to disagree. we'd have to argue the merits of the reformation in the interpretation of biblical texts and the nearly complete lack of such influences in the muslim world. i doubt it would get bloody, but it would be long and pointless. i'd probably win on point in the long run, but there would be no chance of a ko on either side and the demands for a rematch would simply become silly.

where he is coming from is precisely the point. he is simply aping the similar statements uttered by the partisan press and a series of mindless political drones, almost all without the slightest shred of real evidence or decency. it's a schoolyard game of "yes you are, no i'm not" that's as pointless as it is childish. while i do find some amusement in occasionally belittling an opponent, that shouldn't be the entire gist of a post and the examples of duke displaying this sort of behavior are legion.
